JOHN THE REVELATOR SAW JESUS CHRIST ON THE THRONE OF DAVID

THE BOOK OF REVELATION IS THE GREATEST MASTERPIECE OF ALL LITERATURE. EVERY DOCTRINE IN THE BIBLE CAN BE FOUND IN THIS ONE BOOK INCLUDING THE MILLENNIAL KINGDOM. The Prophets of God have promised the Golden Kingdom from the foundation of the world. On the day of Pentecost, Apostle Peter preaching by the Holy Ghost reminded his audience of this future kingdom. He states in his defense of Christ’s resurrection what the Psalmist David had prophesied. “Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on His throne.” (Acts 2:30) How can anyone claim a millennium kingdom apart from the return of Jesus Christ?

In the next chapter of Acts it is clear that Apostle Peter now understands the Church age to be followed by the Kingdom age. Peter has preached a great Pentecostal sermon, a crippled man has been healed, and then Peter describes the future when Christ returns to judge and reign on the earth. He states, “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, [that] every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.” (Acts 3: 19-24) The Church world must not be confused about the future Golden Kingdom that will fill the earth following the Battle Of Armageddon .

The visions of John the Revelator settled this great truth in perfect order. John said, “And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow [was] upon his head, and his face [was] as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire.” (Revelation 10: 1) This great personage then warned John of seven thunders and told him the seventh angel, with the seventh thunder, would finish the mystery of God. Probably one of the greatest mysteries in the Bible is the judgment of the devil’s kingdom which includes the anti-Christ and his evil design to rule the world.

Then John saw and heard that seventh thunder. “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become [the kingdoms] of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever.” (Revelations 11:15) This scene is breathtaking. “The kingdoms of this world are become [the kingdoms] of our Lord, and of his Christ.” There is no possibility of separating this scene from the words of Peter at Pentecost. Jesus Christ is ready to reign on the throne of David forever and ever. The time indicated in prophecy for the millennial kingdom is 1,000 years, but that is when time shall be measured no longer and eternity begins. John sees this great culmination that both angels and prophets have promised by the Holy Ghost.

Isaiah may not have fully understood his own words in a vision he recorded. He even speaks of “the Lamb” seeking a covering for Israel when the Anti-christ reigns in Jerusalem. He promises that once this need of protection is over that the “Lamb” shall “establish the kingdom.” Here are his words. “Send ye the Lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion. For it shall be, [that], as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, [so] the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon. Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth. Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land. And in mercy shall the throne be established: and He (the lamb) shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.” (Isaiah 16:1-5) What a beautiful prophecy from the book of Isaiah, the statesman prophet.

Micah saw this same glorious hour and left no doubt that the Lord would reign in Jerusalem. “But in the last days it shall come to pass, [that] the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. In that day, saith the LORD, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.” (Micah 4:1-2, 6-7)

Already we have heard Peter quote the great King David, the angel thundering to John the Revelator, and the prophecies of Isaiah and Micah. Let’s see what the angel said to Mary, the Mother of our Lord. The angel said, to her astonishment, “…behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.” (Luke 1:31-33)

When men try to replace the reign of Jesus Christ upon this earth with the church age, it is close to blasphemy. In every period of history, when men have sought to establish a church or government world-wide kingdom, it has degenerated into disaster. Human flesh is incapable of taking dominion over the earth until the Lord Himself breaks the power of the sin-nature. That, in turn, cannot be broken until Satan and his unholy powers are judged and destroyed. The seven years of the great tribulation are God’s plan to prepare our world for His reign on earth.

Isaiah proclaimed by the Spirit that the government of this world is to finally rest on the child born in Bethlehem. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of [his] government and peace [there shall be] no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” (Isaiah 9:6-7)

John the Revelator saw and heard the angel thunder out the grand finale of human hope. Instead of politicians and religious apostates, “the Kingdoms of the world became His Kingdom,” and righteousness will finally be spread from sea to shining sea on every continent. Judgment and Justice will fill the earth and nature will be purified of its contamination and wickedness. The Book of Revelation is the final word.

  1. Once again, Pastor Joseph, you’ve done a great job laying out what is likely soon to come. There will, of course, be those who disagree with you, but in my own opinion after seriously studying Bible Prophecy for ten years now, I think the timeline goes something like this:

    1) Old Testament Era – God focuses on his attention on Israel.

    2) Church Age (present) – This is where God has shifted his attention to the followers of Jesus, however he is still actively involved with watching over Israel, even to the point of allowing them to return to their homeland.

    3) Tribulation Age – Seven years of judgment upon the Earth, the rise of the Antichrist whose ultimate desire is to succeed in destroying Israel totally as so many others have done in the past, such as Hitler and the National Socialists of Germany and the goal much of the Islamic world today.

    4) The Millennium – The 1000 year reign of Jesus in Jerusalem. The Antichrist and false prophet’s military assault on Israel is halted by Jesus and the armies of heaven, which likely includes all the saints from all ages up until this point. Satan is locked away for this time. This is a transitional time which concludes with Satan being released, gathering huge numbers of allies for a final act of rebellion.

    4) White Throne Judgment – Concludes the Millennium with the final judgment and sentencing of Satan and all the evil from all ages to the lake of fire forever.

    5) New heaven, new Earth Age – A total recreation of the universe, including Earth totally clear of sin and the arrival of the New Jerusalem to Earth. From here God the Father and Jesus rule forever.

This is a very brief summary and I’m sure some will disagree with me, too.

  2. May I know why it is that Joseph comments only on the Book of Revelation to the complete omission of the four accounts of the Gospel? Why is is that no one else asks Joseph about his thoughts regarding John 15 or Matthew 25? Why has Joseph no concern for the Eucharist, so central to the teaching of Jesus, and shown throughout the Book of Revelation? All Joseph ever refers to is the end of the world. Is he attempting to tell us that the rest of the New Testament means little next to the Apocalypse? And that the Apocalypse can only be viewed through the eyes of Joseph Chambers?

Who is Joseph Chambers? What makes him an expert? The Holy Spirit? Funny, the Spirit hasn’t revealed this message to the rest of the Church? Why is he known just to the few sectarians who attach themselves to this one trick pony?

  3. COMMING KINGDOM OF MILLENIUM

    Dear Joe Chambers,

You are right that only Jesus can bring the Kingdom. There have been many attempts by men to bring the Kingdom. The first such attempt was when the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH was set up as a RELIGIOUS ROMAN EMPIRE, but it turned out to a GREAT DISASTER WITH NEARLY 70’000’000 LIVES LOST IN THE INQUISITIONS. Al they succeeded in doing was setting up the WHORE OF REVELATION WITH BABYLON BEING IN ROME. Millions of real Christians died at the hands of this false kingdom. Then in the REFORMATION AREA IN THE LATTER PART OF THE MIDDLE AGES MARTIN LUTHER SET UP HIS KINGDOM IN GERMANY AND WAS THE RELIGIOUS RULER OF GERMANY. He too persecuted Christians in his own Inquisition. JOHN CALVIN SET UP HIS KINGDOM IN GENEVA A RULED THAT AREA. HE WAS CALLED THE PROTESTANT POPE. He to ran his own Inquisitions which he persecuted Christians that did not agree with his dogma. IN the COLONIAL ERA THE PILGRIMS THOUGHT OF THEMSELVES AS A REPLAY OF THE JEWS COMMING OUT OF EGYPT AT EXODUS. tHE PILGRIMS MOSES WAS WILLIAM BREWSTER. ENGLAND WAS THEIR EGYPT. THE ATLANTIC WAS THEIR RED SEA OR JORDAN RIVER. AMERICA WAS THEIR CANAAN. THANKSGIVING WAS THEIR PASSOVER. THEY SET UP THEIR PURITAN RELIGIOUS KINGDOM. The Puritans also persecuted people. The most successful human attempt to set up a Christian Kingdom by human efforts or to create a Gentile version of Israel was in 1776, and also in the writing of the NATIONAL CONSTITUTIONAL COVENANT IN 1787. That lasted longer than any other attempt to create a CHRISTIAN KINGDOM where there was religious freedom all CHristians. THEN EVIL SUPREME COURT JUDGES OVER TURNED THAT AS RESULT OF A JEZEBEL NAMED MADELYN MURRAY OHARE. Then the Devil took over. Today the DOMINIONISTS and CRISTIAN RE-CONSTRUCTIONISTS are trying to bring back that Kingdom. THEIR EFFORTS ARE IN VAIN. They simplply do not have the votes to do it. The Liberals dominate. In past Israel had the same pattern as early America in RELIGION AND POLITICS, and they to got away from God, just like us. The LIBERALS took over an ancient Israel too. The eventually fell. So will America. UNTIL THE DEVIL IS REMOVED FROM THIS WORLD, TIT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO SET UP A LASTING KINGDOM OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. SATAN MUST ME REMOVED FORM POWER. JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN DO IT. WHEN HE SETS UP HIS, IT WILL BE FAR MORE SUCCESSFUL THAN ALL PAST ATTEMPTS WHICH ENDED IN FAILURE AND DISASTER. JESUS’ MILLENIAL KINGDOM WILL BE THE MOST SUCCESSFUL. The reason why is because SATAN WON’T BE AROUND.

    Sincerely,

    Keith Black

  4. Perfect ! Absolutely PERFECT message pastor Chambers !
What a refreshing truth you’ve taught in this message. Some of the comments left by some are almost comical if they weren’t so unbelievably ignorant.
They’re better off reading comic books since they don’t believe whats written in God’s word. How sad and unfortunate.
Looking forward to the next message, hopefully minus the foolish comments hahaha !!!
    Thank you Pastor.

  5. Note to Sandra: Thank you very much for the kind words! I hope my brief summary has been helpful and glad you liked it. I’ve been seriously studying eschatology for ten years and though I remain painfully ignorant about so much, I hope I’ve picked up a little knowledge in the process.

Note to Bill Andrews: And thank you also for the kind words on the last posting. Though I do get irritated with people who have to bolster their arguments by taking hostile personal shots at others, I think it’s worth it to try to approach them at least once with a reasoned response. If this is rejected, well, not much can be done about it except to continue to challenge both their arguments and their approach!

Now a general comment as to the merits of studying Revelation.

Best answer: Revelation 1:3 “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

I don’t think I could possibly add anything to that!
