JOHN THE REVELATOR SAW THE LAST SEVEN YEARS OF DANIEL’S SEVENTY WEEKS OF YEARS (Part 1)

God’s Holy Bible does not contain a more spectacular vision than Daniel’s Seventy Weeks, with seven years in each week. The Church is placed between the sixty-ninth and seventieth week. Sixty-nine weeks are four-hundred and eighty-three years and one week is seven years. Jesus Christ spoke of this last seven years, or one week as seen by Daniel. In the middle of the last week is where the Anti-Christ will strut and scheme while the world trembles. Let us search this truth to learn of God’s perfect prophecy. The length of this vision demands a three part series. Search the scriptures with me and take part in this Revelation analysis.

THE BOOK OF REVELATION PRESENTS AN UNDENIABLE PICTURE OF THE PERFECTION WE FIND IN THE HOLY BIBLE. This masterpiece is like a capstone. Truth of scripture from Genesis to Jude is faithfully interwoven into the very heart of this final book. The perfect harmony of the whole is supernatural. Jesus had spoken of the Great Tribulation and indicated that the Anti-Christ would be revealed in the middle of that time. Here are Christ’s words. “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains.” (Matt 24: 15-16)

First, let’s get an understanding of dispensationalism. There is not any reliable defense against the truth of Biblical dispensationalism. God has dealt with specific segments of individuals in different manners from the Garden of Eden to the present. For almost two thousand years God provided witness to the pre-Noahic generations. After the flood, He chose Abraham and taught him faith as a pathway to God while He prepared the Jewish race to receive His laws. Beginning with Moses, He taught them those laws and provided the many types of sacrifices, each to find fulfillment in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. The church was born at Pentecost and brings us to the present as we await the climax of His chosen bride out of the Jews and Gentiles. Again, this is called His church. While opinions vary, the accepted view identifies six different dispensations from Adam to the present.

The next dispensation (seventh) will be the Millennium, a thousand year reign of Jesus Christ on earth. Both the Jews and the church have distinctive and different parts to play in this millennial period. Literal interpretation of Scripture never allows any blurring of these two distinct and different people. Nothing confuses Holy Scripture worse than trying to merge the church as a called‑out body of believers with Israel as a nation. Both have an incredible future, but a very different one.

Now John saw that very period called the “Great Tribulation of seven years” and the Anti-Christ revealed. His unveiling in Revelations thirteen is spoken of as having only three and a half years to exist. The Anti-Christ actually divides the seven years by openly accepting the role of the false Christ. He blasphemes the Father, the Jewish Tabernacle, and the saints that have been raptured. John said, “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, who [is] like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and] two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.” (Rev. 13: 3-6)

Now we will look at Israel’s part in the seventy weeks of Daniel. The First Testament is written especially for Israel and must be understood in their language. The seventy weeks of Daniel are an outline of Israel’s future from that time until the millennial kingdom. This revelation is recorded in Daniel chapter nine and is one of the most breathtaking prophecies in Holy Scripture. The details and dates cannot be viewed as less than spectacular. Read these specifics very carefully before we proceed. “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week; and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate” (Daniel 9:24-27).

Only a supernatural revelation would dare lay out the minute details that had to be fulfilled perfectly or all of it would be in doubt. Jesus Christ Himself confirmed this prophecy in Matthew 24:15 and detailed the last week of these seventy weeks. He divided it in half and then confirmed the event characterizing the middle of this last week of seven years. I repeat His words, “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (who so readeth, let him understand)” (Matthew 24:15). This perfectly settles the fact of a literal seven years and that it is future.

The words of Jesus Christ shatter anyone’s denial of this great prophecy. Again, notice that Jesus accepted this prophecy as literal and confirmed its absolute future fulfillment. The only way to treat Bible prophecy is to treat it as Jesus did. It is literal with a Biblical definition of all types and symbols. Do not spiritualize any part of Holy Writ. God said what He meant and we’ll have no trouble understanding it if we read and study the Word in that fashion. When you see a symbol or type used in Scripture, let the use of that symbol or type be interpreted by how it is used in all other Biblical settings. God does not confuse His symbols and types. When we see a beast, we are dealing with a character, not an appearance. When we see seven consecutive things that denote a particular subject, it shows the complete presentation of the matter. Seven churches represent the church in its total picture and dispensation. Seven spirits are the Holy Spirit in all His functions and person. Interpret these types and symbols literally after you identify their use and meaning.

The Seventy Weeks of Daniel understood

These four verses as they are presented detail the entire history of Israel from Babylonian captivity until their entrance into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ at the end of the last week of seven years. There is no question but that the 70 weeks as named in this prophecy were 70 weeks of years or 70 X 7 years. This was a concept clearly known to the Hebrew mind as a manner of designing time periods. Jacob served two seven-year weeks for his wives, Leah and Rachel. The Scripture accounts the second seven years as following, “Fulfill her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years” (Genesis 29:27).

When this was given to Daniel, Israel was just finishing a 70-year period of captivity because of their backsliding and disobedient lifestyle. It is amazing to learn that these 70 years of bondage were a result of ignoring God’s Sabbaths of rest for the land they had been given by Jehovah God. Jeremiah has prophesied this as recorded. “And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof. And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia: To fulfil the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept Sabbath, to fulfill threescore and ten years” (2 Chronicles 36:19-21).

Stealing from God the tithe or disobeying His commandments for the Sabbath or the Lord’s Day in our New Testament brings the exact results today as it did to Israel. Holy things or Holy Commandments are ignored at your peril and destruction. You do not break God’s commandments; you break yourself on God’s commandments. His laws are indestructible. To be continued nexr week!!!

  1. How many weeks is this love affair with the Apocalypse to continue, Joseph? Why do you ignore the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to help us guide our daily lives in order to speculate about the future, SOMETHING JESUS COMMANDED HIS FOLLOWERS NOT TO DO?

Matthew 6:34 – Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Matthew 6:25 – “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Matthew 6:27 – “And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?

Along with the above the following Scriptures. Jospeh, will be held up to your eyes when you stand before the tribunal of Christ:

Matthew 24:36 – But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Acts 1:7 – He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority

Even Sts Peter and Paul advise us to STOP WORRYING!

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

1 Peter 5:7 casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

So, Joseph, stop trying to read the mind of God by taking the Book of Revelation out of context and using your and other’s attempts to use the Apocalypse to read the future as if the Bible was a mess of tea leaves.

The future is known to God alone, despite your attempts to read His mind. Please drop this unhealthy fascination with the Apocalypse and pay attention to the end of the world that will affect you more – the time of your death. Have you fed the hungry and clothed the naked? Have you visited the sick and those in prison? If you don’t do THESE things, Joseph, you will go to hell, as Jesus said in Matthew 25:36-41, spending your eternity with “the devil and his angels.”

  2. Dear Pastor Chambers;
It probably would do Sean well to read Revelation 1:3 to answer some of his questions. There we read: “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”
I have been amazingly blessed as I have read the things you have revealed from the Holy Spirit-inspired book of Revelation. Thank you for your understanding of and teaching on this wonderful book of prophecy.
    Darrell

  3. Those who understand the meaning of God’s Hebraic number SEVEN,
realize that the Greco-Roman religion robbed the earth of the blessings of His appointed Sabbath.
The SEVENTH DAY reflects the seventh Millennium (thousand year kingdom of Christ) established during
the creation of earth. The Greek SUN-day does not have this significance.
You are correct in saying that the Western World & Roman Empire break God’s 4th Commandment
written in stone by His own hand.

  4. OMG, Sean. If you think Joseph is going to hell for the study of prophecy, then you know very
little of salvation. There is a special blessing for anyone who tries to understand the book
of Revelation. I hope you don’t speak these curses on inmates in your “prison ministry” work.

  5. Dear Sean,
Please give us your interpretation of the Book Of Revelation, the chronology of the events therein, in relation to the time we are now in (2012) .
Why did Jesus give John the Book of Revelation -wherein it says that the man who studies it will be blessed – if He didn’t want us to study it an be blessed.
No man totally understands the entire Book of Revelation, we will all learn what the Holy Spirit gives us when we read it, IF we ask for discernment.

  6. Dear Pastor Chambers, A perfect message ! Unfortunately its brought out the scoffers like Sean once again that don’t understand Holy Scripture and how to apply it to their christian walk. They’ll be dumbfounded when this event that the God they supposedly worship takes place.
I can only imagine what our Lord will say to them for belittling His word (A sure word of prophecy).
Glad i’m not in their shoes.
Looking forward to parts I & II !

  7. DANIEL’S NEARLY FIVE CENTURIES & THE ANTI-CHRIST

Daniel’s 70 WEEKS (7 – year “Decades”) RUNS FOR NEARLY 5 CENTURIES. That is almost 500 years. The reason why God did not include the CHURCH AGE in any of the calendars given to Daniel, is because it would have been a GIVE-AWAY OF THE DATE WHEN JESUS IS COMMING, and the Lord Jesus said that no one will know the day or the hour when he is comming. He even said that he does not know when he is comming. Only his Father knows whe he is to come. He will come when his Father notifies him when it is tiem for him to come. IF the Church age was included in Daniel’s weeks, we would be at WEEK #352 and the TRIBULATION MIGHT BE WEEK 353. But his calendar was limited to about 5 Centuries. The Claendar stopped at WEEK 69 when Jesus was crucified. It starts up again when Jesus evacuates the Church at the Rapture. The Tribulation Officially begins when ISRAEL SIGNS A TREATY WITH THE ANTI-CHRIST thinking that he is their Messiah. The ANti-Christ damages the Temple in middle of week #70. If you count the Church Age, then the Temple Raid by the Anti-Christ will probably be the center of WEEK #353. From the time Daniel’s clock began to our time plus the Tribulation would be 2469. or 353 Weeks. In Matthew 24:15-16 JESUS WARNED THE JEWS THAT WHEN THE ANTI-CHRIST PUT THE GREAT HORRIBLE THING IN THE TEMPLE THAT DANIEL SPOKE OF, THAT THEY WORE TO FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS to the Southeast which is in Jordan. Most Likely to PETRA a Canyon with CAVE HOUSES. It is entered Through a trail in a CRACK that runs between 2 cliffs. Tanks probably cannot enter that because they would be trapped between the cliffs. Trucks and busses cant enter it either. Maybe cars can enter it. In Matthew 24-:15-16 Jesus warned the Jews to flee when they saw the HORRIBLE THING in the Temple, because will mark the beginning of a GREAT HOLOCAUST. WHAT ABOUT THE GENTILE TRIBULATION SAINTS? THIS WARNING IS TO THEM TOO, BECAUSE THEY ARE ALSO MARKED FOR DEATH BY THE ANTI-CHRIST JUST LIKE THE JEWS ARE. So when the GENTILE TRIBULATION SAINTS SEE THE DESECRATION OF THE JEWISH TEMPLE ON TV, THEY TOO WILL NEED TO FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS AND CAVES IN THEIR OWN AREAS. THE WARNING IS WORLDWIDE. Where do the Gentiles go to escape the Anti-Christ? oviously they cant get to PETRA UNLESS THE CAN GET A PLANE ACCROSS THE ATALANTIC. So it would make more sense for the Gentiles to get in their cars and drive to the mountains a few hours away. Maybe people in Eastern US could go to the most remote sections of the APPALACHIAN MOUNTAINS. GO TO CAVES IF POSSIBLE. If there are no caves in your area, go to the ABANDONED MINES with lots of underground tunnels. Maybe old coal mines. Those in Western States would go to the ROCKY MOUNTAINS, to the steep canyons. WATCH OUT FOR THE DRONES THAT CARRY MISSILES! THE DRONES (WHICH CARRIE MISSILES) CONTROLLED BY THE ANTI-CHRIST WILL BE AIMED AT YOU AND AT THE JEWS. If you go into Caves or Mines, go as deep underground as you can, where the DRONES CANNOT REACH YOU. The SMART BOMBS that the ARMIES OF THE ANTI-CHRIST USES will be aimed at the CAVES WHERE THE SAINTS ARE HIDING.
THE MARK OF THE BEAST IS NOT TOO FAR OFF. THE OBAMA-CARE LEGISLATION HAS A REQUIREMENT THAT ALL INDIVIDUALS HAVE A MICRO-CHIP PLANTED UNDER THEIR ARMS. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE FACING THE MARK OF THE BEAST BEFORE THE RAPTURE, WE MUST GET OBAMA AND HIS FELLOW SOCIALISTS OUT OF OFFICE. AND PUT IN A NEW PRSIDENT AND A CONSERVATIVE HOUSE AND SENATE. WHEN THEY GET INTO OFFICE, IMMEDIATELY REPEAL OBAMA-CARE. The Supreme Court has just upheld that HORRIBLE LEGISLATION, INCLUDING THE MARK OF THE BEAST (MICRO-CHIP). MARK OF THE BEAST: IT IS NOW THE LAW. WE MUST GET IT REPEALED QUICK BEFORE IT GOES INTO EFFECT.

    Sincerely,

    Keith Black

  8. Though I am certain that anyone who reads any of the Bible with the motivation to learn about God and to become closer to him will be blessed, the Book of Revelation is specific in saying this very thing (Revelation 1:3). Since this is so, what do you think the implication is for someone who deliberately rejects reading and studying it?

I have heard estimates that at least 25% of the Bible is prophetic in the sense it foretells events future to when they were written down. To arbitrarily ignore this amount of Scripture is unwise at best.

In my opinion, to denigrate the study of prophecy very much pleases the devil who would certainly wish to have us ignorant of what it to come. In fact, it would appear that the Antichrist will very much use scriptural illiteracy to his advantage because the most dangerous enemy is one whom people cannot recognize.

I believe the antichrist spirit is the driving force today behind the present apostate church (which is not confined to any one denomination) which elevates itself above the authority of Scripture and as such accepts the “doctrines of devils” with such ease. after all, when one doesn’t know the truth, how can one recognize a lie?

What we are seeing at this time is, I believe, very much a prelude to the Antichrist himself being welcomed with open arms by what passes for the church recomposed of those left behind after the rapture of the True Church of believers.

God gave us ALL of the Bible for a reason. To deny or denigrate any part of it is nothing but a tribute to human arrogance.

Bottom line: Keep up the good work, Pastor Joseph. That your efforts sometimes draw such negative reactions indicate to me that you are making serious inroads against Satan’s plans.

  9. Awesome study in my favorite book. Keep’em comin’ Pastor.

Message to Sean: The future is NOT known to G-d alone, in part. Why else would He give us Revelation?
It is precisely so we can know what is coming and warn a sleeping world. Get it? That’s what being a watchman is all about.

  10. ANOTHER NOTE TO ROBI: YOU WROTE “Message to Sean: The future is NOT known to G-d alone, in part. Why else would He give us Revelation?”

If God is not the only one Who knows the future, then you’re saying that God alone is not omniscient, someone else is as well. Since omniscience is one of the attributes of divinity, you’re telling me that there is more than one God.

It is ONLY because God is omniscient that He could give the gift of prophecy to Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel and the rest. Sure, if we read the Apocalypse we too will know something about the future. Not a lot, mind you, because MOST of the Revelation is about the same time in which John the Apostle, whom Joseph is fond of calling JOHN THE REVELATOR in Darby’s tradition, found himself at the end of the first century, about the year 96.

I sure hope you just miswrote, Robi. I’d hate to think that you deny the words of Jesus in Mark 12:29, “Hear O Israel, the Lord your God! The Lord is One.” By saying there is more than one person who knows the future, you’re saying there’s more than one God.

  11. Who in the world seperated Daniel’s 70th week from the 69th week? Was that you C. I.?

The glorious time(s) of the gentiles began at the household of Cornelius exactly 70 weeks or 490 years after Daniel said it would happen.

Isn’t it wonderful that the Holy Spirit has for almost 2000 years been made available to both Jew and Gentile? Positionally Daniel’s 70 week prophecy has been fulfilled so now let ue experience the ONE NEW MAN (Jesus).

By the way the book of Revelation asks us to guard and do the words of that prophecy. In following the Lamb whereever He goes the age of sin is consumated as Daniel prophesied.
If Revelation isn’t a practical doable word then why are we asked twice to do it?

Revelation is a full unveiling of Jesus the Christ given to us 2000 years ago so let us do it?

Sorry mr antichrist I have already overcome in Christ! My destiny is to preach this good news to a heart sickened hope deferred church and world that needs the kingdom of God at this instant.

Love is the defining factor in discerning the antichrist spirit. Those who deny a flehly anointed relationship between Jesus and his Father God are operating in that spirit. Three times John says that the spirit of anti anointing denies a Father and son relationship and twice that Jesus was not generated as a flesh man. Whoa!

If we love God we will keep His voice and the love of God is perfected in us.

Perfect love from our Perfect God.

  12. Dear Pastor

Yes i agree with your article on Rev.

Sean. You can paste as much scripture together as you like, just remember many of us read our correct King James Versions (1611), it’s better glue…

    God Bless
