IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE

Not one jot or tittle of the Holy Bible can fail. The perfection of the Scripture is a settled issue from God’s perspective. Early in Christ’s Ministry, Matthew quoted Him saying the following words, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:17-19) How could He have made it any plainer?

This sermon looks at several issues that are pertinent to a well balanced Christian life. When a person will accept the perfection of the Holy Scripture and the added fact that God cannot lie, life becomes a joy. Every great saint in the Bible proved the faithfulness of every promise. The sun could fall or the moon go off it’s orbit better or quicker than one lie can be attributed to God or His Words. If you deny one promise or verse of His Divine truths, you are calling God a liar. This is a serious condition that has gripped our present church world. Apostle Paul sets the record straight. “For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;…” (Hebrews 6:13, 18-19) God put His entire reputation on line by this powerful statement.

I deal with these powerful truths in this sermon. Please listen carefully.
1. The prophetic truths declared in Scripture cannot fail to be completely fulfilled . The Rapture is at the door and will be right on time.
2. Your sins that you were forgiven and cleansed from at the New Birth can never be remembered against you.
3. The Lord will never forsake one of His children that trust in Him. He is our Heavenly Father.
4. Jesus Christ desires to be your healer. He plainly said, “by whose stripes ye were healed.”

We start a new series this Saturday on “Open Bible Dialogue” radio broadcast. The situation in the Middle East moves closer to “Gog and Magog.” almost daily. The Russian submarine that sailed around American coastlines and strategist’s interest undetected for a month was a Russian warning. When they lead this “Gog and Magog” invasion of Israel we will be threatened, ”Do not make a move,” But do not worry saints, God cannot lie and Israel has the Father at their back.

I love the truth that God cannot remember our forgiven sins. Isaiah gave a great promise on this topic. He promised that our sins are cast behind God’s back. “Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.” (Isaiah 38:17) The Blood of Jesus eradicates your guilt. The Blood does not white-wash, it washes white.

Remember if you sin after forgiveness you must confess them instantly. John was quick to warn us, “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (I John 2:1-4)

Our God and His Words are immutable. This is our hope and anchor. Walk in this truth and your life will be a light in a dark world.

  1. GOD’S PROPHECIES TRUE, AND WILL COME TO PASS

    Dear Joe Chambers,

You are right about God’s prophecies being true, and coming to pass. The traditional view of timing of prophecies is that the Rapture comes first and that Tribulation – Daniel’s #70 Week comes afer that. The Pre-Trib Rapture is the correct view. There are however those that hold various views onthe rapture. There are PRE-TRIB, MID-TRIB, POST-TRIB, AND POST-MILLENIAL views of the rapture.
    Sincerely,

    Keith Black

  2. This is 100% correct. God’s Laws never change. For anyone who doubts this, then take a look at the mathematical and physical laws upon which our amazing universe operates.

    1) The speed of light in a vacuum is always 186,000 miles per second.

    2) Every physical object in the universe produces gravity. the more massive it is, the higher the gravity.

    3) An astounding combination of narrowly-defined conditions are needed to allow complex life to exist and be sustained. It appears that Earth, out of all the planets we know of in our own Solar System and those we continue to find circling other stars, was expressly designed by God for that very purpose, a home upon which he could, by his direct intervention, create us from the very soil itself and breathe into us the breath of life.

So, since God has absolute laws running the universe, why would he not also have absolutes in ALL of his laws, includng those concerning morality and justice?

The Bible is God’s “manual” and gift to humanity where he reveals himself, his laws, and his mercy. How much different and better would mankind’s tenure on Earth have been if we had only taken him at his Word?

  3. If you believe the bible is the whole truth of God you would do well to see that the bible does not support the trinity doctrine. Because if the bible does not lie or contradict itself the trinity doctrine cannot be true. It is a deception of the devil to keep God’s church from being the spotless bride that he calls us to be. Even the Christian churches can’t agree on which form of the trinity to believe, the ‘church’ is a mess and even many non-believers can see the a doctrine is not from God. This doctrine that was formed by the Nicolaitans and who belonged to the unholy Catholic church is a deception that will go on if Christians will let it. After many years of defending the doctrine of the trinity, God has shown me that Jesus is not God. God did not sacrifice himself but God’s sinless sacrifical lamb (Jesus) to be our kinsman redeemer. Many people are discovering this for themselves through God’s word and through his spirit in us. It is not something taught by any religion (there are religions that do not believe in the trinity, though in addition to this truth they teach unbiblical things that are not of God). We have to believe what Jesus said, we have to believe EVERY word of the bible. We have to look into the context of the scripture and into the true meaning of the translation. Man has added to the bible (look into the history of 1John 5:7). Every scripture that is used to support the trinity also has scriptures that proove it’s wrong. They both can’t be right if they don’t agree. Jesus never claimed to be God, Everything that was said about ‘Jesus being in God’ and ‘God being in Jesus’, and ‘Jesus being the fullness of God’ is also said about ‘us being in Christ’ and ‘us being the fullness of God’. It never meant that he was God, just that they are united as one, just like we are to be united with them. READ your whole bible. The truth is in there. We need to lose our pride and accept rebuke. When I asked God for answers to help me understand the trinity, I never expected the answer I got! But now that I have this understanding, the veil has been removed. God is such an amazing and faithful God! I pray that He spread the truth more abundantly. I love you all with the love of Christ!

  4. Note to Tria.

Some time back I wrote concerning the Trinity so, I’ll give you a brief summary of why I believe this is biblical and let you make up your own mind.

My strongest evidence comes from Jesus’ own words in Matthew 28:19: “Go therefore and teach all nations in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

Next we have a simultaneous physical manifestation of all three Persons of the Trinity at Jesus’ baptism (Luke 2:21-22). There is Jesus himself, the Father’s voice, and the Holy Spirit appearing as a dove.

I also submit the opening three verses of Genesis where we have God the Creator (Father), his Spirit (the Holy Spirit) moving “upon the face of the waters, and him speaking into existence (by his Word, Jesus his Son, identified as such in the first chapter of John’s Gospel) the universe and Earth itself.

Jesus also DID certainly claim to be God: “Before Abraham was, I am.” (John 8:58) Note that he deliberately used the term “I AM,” God’s Name, which we see him revealing to Moses in Exodus 3:13-14, to make that very point.

In John 10:30, Jesus also stated that he and the Father were one.

Tria, you are absolutely right that churches have all different vews of this, and some even deny it. “Organized religion” leaves a great deal to be desired right across the spectrum these days in particular, in my opinion.

One last point is that we all must be on guard that any “revelation” we might receive is “the real deal.” In my view, if it is from God it will NEVER contradict Scripture. This is because God never changes, so his Written Word won’t, either.. All of the erroneous doctrine we find in churches, cults, other religions, and from individuals today is from them accepting “revelations” which contradict the Bible. They may appear to be from God but are really lies from Satan, the greatest deceiver of them all. Remember Paul’s warnings about this specifically in 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.

On a personal note, I ran across an outfit in California which offered a Bible which was physically very well executed. I ordered it but when I got it I found it to be filled with “appendices” denying the Trinity and even the sentience of the Holy Spirit! They even changed the pronoun referring to the Spirit from “he or “him” to “it” or “its!” I sent it back with a very strong letter that I did not appreciate what was very clearly a slick attempt to deceive people. Maybe they were looking to gain members (and $$$) for their church. Took me two months to get my money back and that only happened because I said my next steps were to advise the magazine that featured their ad and then the Postal Service of how these people conducted business.

I hope this helps convinces you of the reality of the Trinity and to be very careful to subject what purportedly comes from God with what I call the “Bible Litmus Test.”

  5. A CORRECTION in my note to Tria!

Matthew 28:19 actually says; “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father ,and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

    Sorry for the error!

  6. note to Tria.
I was aghast at your statement that “Jesus is not God” and you other unbiblical stances on the Savior of the world. How much in error are you? Major error I’ll proclaim strongly and loudly. John said it best in John 1:1…” 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

Since by your own admission that the bible cannot contradict itself, then by that standard and these verses, not to mention dozens, if not more, profess that Jesus is indeed, GOD in the flesh. Jesus is a direct manifestation of the Creator in human form. Jesus said in John “10:30 I and my Father are one.” And again when asked by Phillip to show them the Father, Jesus cleared it up for all of us, in John
” 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.”
How much clearer can our Lord and Savior be??

To deny that Jesus is God come in the flesh is the spirit of anti-Christ. We are to test the spirits and all who deny this one thing are of the devil, 1st John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.” By implication and taking other verses into account, this verse is saying Jesus is God in the flesh. You profess the stance of historical and hereitical Docetists.

The denial “that Jesus is the Christ” does not imply that the Docetists thought Jesus was not the Messiah. Rather, the Docetists claimed that Jesus—the Man whom John had heard, seen and touched—was not truly God in the flesh and that the true Christ was an ethereal being in heaven. John argues that such a teaching denies the family relationship of the Father and the Son, obscuring the true nature of God.

Furthermore, John writes, anyone who denies that Jesus was God in the flesh, subject to temptation just like all human beings, “does not have the Father either.” Such a person simply does not understand the Gospel message. It is a dangerous and unbiblical stance that this contributor has blasphemed the name of our Lord and Savior.
May God correct you as I do, in love.
    In Christ,
    Pastor Mike Taylor
