GRACE, God’s Magnificence

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

The one greatest supernatural power in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ is Grace. The total structure of Christianity is established on Grace. Every promise, both present and future, is available because of Grace. There is nothing good or capable in the human realm that earns God’s favor. It does not even make a down payment. Any hungry soul that will surrender to learn the magnificence of Grace will never be the same.

Grace is the door into every beautiful truth of Holy Scripture. Grace affects the mind, the soul, and the human body. It transforms everything it touches. It lifts the despairing person out of the depth of sorrow. The mind that has been reduced to fear and insanity will be set free if Grace can be invited to spread its victory. Grace is actually the divine results of a sacred death and resurrection that answered every consequence of sin. Anything that sin and human failure has negatively affected will be restored when Grace can act unhindered by our doubts and selfishness.

There are many great things that can be said about Grace. First, Grace is God’s unlimited provision. There is no depth that sin can carry a soul where Grace cannot reach. The Gadarene demonic was a lost and terror-stricken man. Chains could not bind him. He dwelt naked among the tombs of the dead. When Grace landed Christ on the shores near his wanderings, the call of Grace landed him at Jesus’ feet. Soon, he sat at His feet, clothed and in his right mind. Only Grace!

Grace is totally uninhabited and unlimited by evil. Satan and his minions can invade every realm of human life except where Grace has taken control. Where Grace is, Satan is not. Satan can scream at the soul clothed in Grace but cannot touch them. If Satan can lure you to doubt or to leave your first love, then he can damage your life, but Grace can turn him on his heels. Grace is off limits to Satan. Check your life when trouble comes. You will either find some gap you have allowed or God is testing your faith for improvement or the strengthening of your godly walk.

There is no respect of persons with Grace. The Son of God died to provide His favor to every soul. It is a finished work and nothing is lacking or needing completion. Apostle Paul spoke by the Holy Ghost, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?” (Galatians 3:1-3). No work of the flesh can add to Grace, “It is finished.”

Grace does not cover human sin, but forgives sin and transforms the sin sick soul. It never leaves a soul as it was found. It transforms the helpless and renders them “new creatures.” When a soul is saturated in Grace, it emerges like a “river of living waters.” Grace imputes righteousness to the new born believer and imparts holiness to the maturing saints. Grace cannot be static. It moves the soul upward ever closer to the beauty of Christ-filled living. Grace always flows upstream as it blesses those that embrace it.

Jesus told the story of a man delivered from demons by the Grace of God. For some unexplained reason, this man turned away from his trust in Grace and was left vulnerable to Satan. Read how our Lord described the results, “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation” (Matthew 12:43-45).

The man was “empty, swept, and garnished.” A person that was once possessed by evil spirits might appear beautiful and be called very religious, but in this case he was empty. But, if the Grace of God is absent, that beauty will soon turn to ashes. All our self-righteousness is empty until we start living by the grace of God. Grace puts kindness inside, writes purity on the countenance, and floods the soul with sweetness. It turns the ugly into beauty and drives brokenness far away.

Grace is God’s love toward us even when we are in sin. Grace is His willingness to perfectly forgive and then to begin His change of us into His own image. The more we trust in Grace and live in His wonderful favor toward us the more we love Him and long to please Him. The beautiful result of Grace in our lives is the purity that follows. A Grace-filled soul longs to live in the pages of Holy Scripture. Grace is the sweet Rose of Sharon, the Lilly of the valley, and the Bright and Morning Star. Grace is a person, but more than a person. It is His perfect willingness to give you the riches of a happy and pure life. Grace is ready to pick you up, clean you up, and lift you up.

The Shaking Of The Islamic World

Saturday, November 7th, 2009
Can you understand what is about to happen to the northern army that will soon march south against Israel. As many as 30 to 50 nations may join this coalition. Iran is already putting tremendous pressure on every Islamic country to prepare for this final answer to the Jewish guestion. It will become increasingly impossible for a credible leader in that part of the world to resist. Even nations in the American Hemisphere may find it unacceptable to say no to Russia or Iran. With our Islamic President siding with anyone but Israel it only magnified the depth of Israel’s isolation. Consider what an impact it will have when this multiple group of nations are all destroyed. Just think!!! Moscow, Russia; Damascus, Syria; Beirut, Lebanon; Istanbul, Turkey; Rayida, Saudi Arabia; Bucharest, Romania; Belgrade, Serbia all totally wiped off the map. Do not forget Iran, Ethiopia, Morocco, Sudan and Libya with all there major cities. Mecca the center of Islam will be no more. I believe that one of God’s thunder bolts will strike the Temple Mount and purify the area of every remnant of the Islamic religion. It will be ready for the Tribulation Temple already mostly prepared for construction. This is one reason the War of Gog and Magog must happen before the Seven Years of The Great Tribulation. It may well happen before the Rapture!

The Great Homecoming Celebration

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

The greatest picture of a star-studded celebration ever recorded is in the fourth and fifth chapters of Revelation.  Nothing in the Holy Scripture or secular history can even claim second place.  The entire host of Heaven that the Psalmist David described on the Northern Scopes of the eternal land will be the welcoming company.  The saints from all past human history will be the honored guests.  The location is so grand that only one apostle’s eyes have seen its indescribable beauty.  This is the Homecoming celebration of God’s human family.  Sin thrust the prodigal clan out of God’s immediate presence long ago, but it’s time to go home.

John beheld this drama when he was called by the Lord Jesus to “Come up hither.”  Entering into the Celestial City, his eyes fastened on the throne of our Heavenly Father.  The Father was so brilliant in glory that John never described the throne.  Using the most eloquent words he knew, he spoke of God, “And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald” (Revelation 4:3b).  These incredible colors and shapes speak of a majestic being, clothed in eternity and manifested in a divine purity.  John was overshadowed and fully covered with the Spirit or he would not have lived through this drama played out before Him.

The location of this celebration is Heavenly Jerusalem.  Somewhere in the Northern greatness of this universe this eternal home exists in perfect light.  The great palaces are created with ivory.  Even the garments worn in this city are woven in perfumed excellence.  The Psalmist said, “All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad” (Psalm 45:8).  To even approach this city will be an experience of resplendent glory.  The soul of every glorified saint will be so flooded with life and rejoicing that every memory of sadness will flee.

Our welcoming Host will include every inhabitant of that eternal city.  The Father will be the Grand Marshall.  The Son of God will speak the welcoming words even as He did when He called John to view this future event.  The Holy Spirit will spread His beautiful graces across the entire expanse.  Living creatures will raise their voices in the most melodious sound of joy and gladness.  The great host of the angels will reveal to us the joy of how they have worshipped for ages.

God’s great saints, who have worshipped, trusted, and served their Father, while depending wholly on His sacrifice of sacred blood, will be the honored guests.  The new house of redeemed flesh will be our wedding garments.  “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.  For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.  For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life” (II Corinthians 5:1-4).

We will be the center of this grand celebration.  Redeemed saints that have forsaken this world to follow their God and His Christ have longed and yearned for their deliverance.  Apostle Paul described the longing of those in whom Christ is Lord of all, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.   And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body” (Romans 8:22-23).  This body of flesh will soon be a distant memory and our dwelling will be in the company of the divine and angelic.

This occasion is the Pre-Tribulation Rapture and the celebration that follows before the redeeming of our earthly home begins.  This great company of millions of saints will arrive in this Heavenly city to share the business of cleansing the created world.  The throne that these saints, now called Elders, will occupy shows clearly our part in guiding the redeeming affairs of our Lord.  He will reign for seven years as the “Lamb Slain,” fully capable of casting out all offence from our future home of perfect peace.  The book He receives from the Father is the full judicial terms of the “Great Tribulation.” It’s time to make God’s created world a garden of paradise for eternity.

Before the process of redeeming this universe, the saints have time to say what their hearts have experienced from the moment of their redemption.  This scene will be one of the grandest moments in our Father’s eternal existence.  The saints, acting in unison as a grand multitude, will cause all Heaven to be silent.  Viewing this Heavenly Host, they will see Abraham and Sarah, King David, Rahab, Jeremiah, Daniel, Peter, Paul, and, by all means, John the Beloved together with all the saints.  The Word says it best of all, “. . .  I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands” (Revelation 5:11).  “The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created” (Revelation 4:10-11).

It will be spectacular to be a part of millions of redeemed saints celebrating by casting their crowns at the feet of our Creator and our Savior.  Once our heads are bare of all the glory given to us and we have deposited that glory at His feet, we will sing our first song of the glorified saints.  Being home again with the heavenly multitude of angels and our great God, Who made us in His image, will be grand as the saints prepare to share the eternal events to follow.

The Spirit That Beareth Witness

Thursday, November 5th, 2009
Understanding the Person of the Holy Spirit is one of the most important truth in a believers life. The Lord Jesus Christ spared great time in teaching His Disciples about this third Person of the Godhead. Just like the Father and the Son possess all the attributes of personhood, the Holy Spirit does also in the same manner. The Holy Spirit can be resisted, He can be grieved, He can be quenched and He can be blasphemed. A very important difference is that the Holy Spirit never presents or speaks of Himself. His office is to represent  the Father and the Son to us and in us.  That is why he is called the Holy Ghost in the New Testament. The word “ghost” means to represent someone else. The Holy Ghost is the Vicar of Jesus Christ. He takes everything the Son of God is and has done redemptively and makes it real and mighty in our lives. Also every thing that the Father has placed at the disposal of Jesus Christ His Exalted Son is put at our needs by the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the Right Arm, the Strong Arm of the Father and His Christ in our lives.
Read the Great teachings of Jesus Christ (St John chapters 14,15 and 16) about the Holy Spirit’s coming when He ascended to the Father. Also study I Corinthians chapters 12 and 14. The church will be transformed when the Holy Ghost has right a way in our midst.
