TO WHOM ARE YOU LISTENING?(Sermon)
SATAN’S FIRST LINE OF ATTACK IS THE THOUGHT LIFE. THERE IS A SPIRIT OF DECEPTION THAT FILLS THE AIR WAVES. Remember that Satan is the prince of the power of the air and fills the imaginations of men with evil continualy. He uses the mind and our imagination to create strong emotions in the direction of wrong living. The powers in the thought patterns that come from Satan are para-normal and can literally conquer an unprotected life. The Bible warns us, “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” (Ephesian 6:16-17) The HELMET is the protection of the mind. Sin has to capture the mind before it captures the heart. When sin has captured the mind it is almost impossible to defeat. Apostle Paul dealt with this as a beautiful explanation of our Spiritual warfare. “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (I Corinthians 10:5) Keep your mind in a pure vain and you will keep your heart and soul. Give the devil room to play with your thought life and he will soon be your king.

This was right to the point.
Remember, too, what James said about sin (James 1:14-15) It begins with temptation and, if allowed to continue, causes lust, which progesses to sin, and finally sin progesses to death.
It really is a battle for the mind and will. This conflict is difficult enough for a believer (well, at least it is for me!) so imagine how overwhelming it is for one who is not.

It all began in Prince Lucifer’s heart(Isaiah xiv:13-14).
And for us, in The Garden Of Eden in the hearts of our First Parents(Gen iii:6).
Later it resumed at Babel(Genesis xi:6), the workings of an evil imagination.
After it had caused the near total extinction of Earth’s Population by The Flood(Genesis vi:5)
And we have kept and promoted since above and beyond the call of “duty” this nice occupation.
So much so that Apostle Paul Acknowledges it Twice:
“…all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.”(ICor vi:12,x:23)
And of course it comes from the imagination.
Our LORD REMINDS us In No Uncertain Terms our spiritual appartenance(John viii:44).
Apostle Paul Teaches us about Spiritual Warfare against Satanic strongholds
in our imagination,
first as Field Tactician and Weapons Specialist in IICor x:4 and Eph vi:10-18;
and second as “Political Commissar” in Phil ii:12-18, telling us The ‘Why we fight’
“The Good Fight”(IITim iv:7)!
Today we are well past the point reached by the Antediluvian Civilization, and Were It Not
For the Two Millennia Of Grace Bought WITH our LORD’S BLOOD we would have been wiped off
the Face of GOD’S Earth long ago.
Our parents at least had the decency to call every year “…This Year Of Grace…”

I feel the attacks and yes they are real, but i have my faith, scriptures, prayer and the Holy Spirit to assist me , so i am not alone.
as it is written; Satan will overcome the Saints in the end, mind control is his specialty

Your reflections here certainly show that humanity continually fails to learn from its errors – the main one, I suppose, is the prideful idolatry of putting itself in the place that only God should occupy, and incurring the same tragic results every time.

The first time I read in The Bible The Story Of The Flood and Its Aftermath,
even as a baby in CHRIST I was struck by the Fact that there was no break
at all in the restoration of civilization, that would have caused us to forget GOD.
Apostle Paul Reminds us of This Truth in The First Chapter Of His Epistle To The Romans.
Why then this turning again of our backs To GOD, after such a Traumatic Event That Was
The GOD-ORDAINED Flood ?
In any scifi novel(either slick or pulp)we would have invented another
civilization-destroying, earth-shattering natural cataclysm that had made us
lose our Memory Of GOD’S POWER AND MERCY, to excuse our return to the bad old ways.
But no such thing in Real Life.
After The Flood, GOD MADE The Earth Plentiful Again.
Yet the transgressions began soon enough after The Blessed Survivors had settled,
involving Noah The Just Himself and his youngest son Ham, causing the curse pronounced
by Patriarch Noah against his son’s descent.
The Consequences of which we are living today.
The Eight People Spared from The Flood had seen with their own eyes How THE HOLY GOD
IS NOT TO BE MOCKED with daily sinful practices by HIS OWN Creatures.
Yet when Nimrod began his bullying by sheer brawn on the face of The Restored Earth,
he did so by plainly flouting GOD’S MERCY THAT WAS SHOWN his great-grand-father,
Righteous Noah who was still alive when he grew up.
The latter must have reminded him time and again of what happened before his birth,
and that he owed it TO GOD to be born at all.
Yet we read of him as one who became mighty on the earth,
and “…a mighty hunter before the Lord…” (Gen x:9)
The plain meaning is that he was defiant before THE LORD.
And surely that he was never a hunter of animal game for meat,
but a hunter of men for power through terror.
The long and the short of it is that he was the prototype for all dictators,
down to our modern day PolPots.
So a few generations only after the Renewing Of The Earth, man again set his face against
his MAKER, for no other reason that he wanted to show “he has come of age” and that he no
longer needed any mentoring, BE IT ALMIGHTY GOD’S MENTORING.
And for no other cause than a short memory OF GOD’S HOLINESS, and of our never-ending
failure due to own pigheadedness and wrong associations (with who-we-know)
And all that just because of atavistic devilish pride (John viii:44)
I cannot recommend too much this book formerly available at Bethany Press,
Ben Adam’s 1937″The Origin Of Heathendom”, presented by Arthur E.Bloomfield.
I had it until it got “termitored” ! Unfortunately.
