The Ten Virgins And The Midnight Cry

The key words in this great Biblical lesson that Jesus Christ taught His disciples makes the message very clear. This lesson is the absolute truth about those that will go up and into the Marriage Supper. The Bridegroom cannot be anyone but Jesus Christ. The Midnight Cry is the call of Christ’s Bride to meet Him and go into the great supper. The oil is the active work of the Holy Ghost in preparing believers for the Rapture. The five virgins that go into the Marriage Feast are the Rapture ready saints. No one can doubt that this Marriage Supper is the same event we see in Revelation. “And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God” (Revelation 19:9) . The fact that the door was shut after some went into the supper and some were denied is the same great Rapture truth that we read about so often in Holy Scripture. This message is the perfect word of who is ready to go and who will be “Left Behind.” Every minister needs to stand before the sacred desk and sound this truth to the world. Jesus echoed this same lesson in His letter to the Laodicean church, “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth” (Revelation 3:9). This great truth is hated by our cold, frigid world of religion. Why? Why not simply get on fire for the Lord and allow His Holy Spirit to make us strong and dedicated saints. There is no joy in a dead religious life. When the sweet fire of the Holy Spirit burns, it’s “Joy Unspeakable.”
NEXT SATURDAY: A special Christmas broadcast that you won’t want to miss. My Juanita will help me as we share the Joy of Jesus Christ at all seasons of the year.

  1. We pray for G-d to raise the burning ones, the extravagant dreamers to save the dying souls and bring a grassroot revival in America! We pray untill America will be washed by the blood of Jesus!

  2. I’ve been caught between the pre-tribulation rapture believers and the post-tribulation resurrection believers. Both groups can make a convincing argument and have plenty of scripture to support them. I’m not sure about what will occur or when, but lately I have been getting urged by the Holy Spirit to “get oil”. I hear this daily, get oil, get oil, get oil. To me that means almost constant repentance, getting full of the Word, prayer, worship, more awareness of God in daily life, having a loving and forgiving attitude toward all humans, a desire to help them as best I can for Christ’s sake. So whether I go up in a rapture or have to endure the great tribulation until the resurrection, I know there will be enough oil in my lamp to light my path. The end time events that Jesus spoke of are “coming like a storm”. Get your oil now! Very timely message, pastor. Thanks and blessed holidays to all.

    Patrck,
Good attitude my friend. I’m totally convinced about Pre-Trib Rapture, but what I desire to see in everyone is to be full of the Word and Christ’s Grace. Read the fourth chapter in Revelation and you will see the Church in Heaven and the Tribulation does not begin until the sixth chapter.
    Blessings!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. 2 thessalonians 2: 7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only (R)he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.

you seem to indicate that only those “Christians” that are watching will go in the Rapture, but if that be the case — then G_d will take the Holy Spirit away from those who are “Christians”, but don’t have a clue what is going on in the world.

I know lots of “Christians” who are ignorant about 1 part of the Bible or antoher — but I believe JESUS will take all born again believers who are genuinely “born again” — whether they are watching the skies — or that are saying — gee I really don’t know my Bible well enough to even see the time of these many signs.

  4. If I understand the wedding chronology correctly, the Bridegroom comes and gets the Bride, they spend a week in the huppah and the marriage is consummated, and then after the bridal week is over, there is a feast.

The friends of the Bride are not getting married. The ten virgins are the friends of the Bride. At the end of the parable, five of the virgins are dismissed and not allowed to participate at all. This suggests that Jesus paid a full bride price (His blood) but in the end gets only half a bride. This is extremely problematic.

Better take another look at this one.

  5. The parable of the wise and foolish virgins is an analogy between Christians and Jews,
respectively, not between “extra-good Christians” and Christians. The partial rapture theory,
if that is what is being talked about here, is scripturally incongruent with the biblical
tenant that we are saved by grace through faith, not by works. If you could be left behind,
then what would be the point of having faith? But you can lose rewards in heaven for
slothfulness as the Apostle Paul states.
Patrick, you are right on target about “getting oil” now in these last days! Even the Holy
Spirit is telling you to be ready now for a pre-tribulation rapture. A rapture or
resurrection for the Church POST-tribulationally just doesn’t hold water in light of a full examination of relevant scripture. Do a search on the differences between the Rapture and
the Second Coming and you’ll see what I mean! God bless you and harpazo anticipato!

  6. I believe the wise virgins didn’t celebrate christmas. Because God the same yesterday today and forever. Israel got condemed for puting up christmas trees. This alones would make Jesus a false messiah. For the true Messiah would teach to keep God Feast DAys. So are christian churches using God name in vain. The true Messiah was born on the Feast of Tabernacles. Part of the teaching of the Feast of Tabernacles is about the salvation of the nations.
Joseph see you like change Yahushua bithday to christmas. Why don’t you change yours to aprail fools day.

  7. May we all repent, obey and earnestly seek after God. As for the rapture occuring before the tribulation….I’m not to sure of that. It seems to me that most of the Biblical saints
and Apostles went through some very heavy persecution/tribulation. Weren’t all the original
apostles martyred except for John? Will it be any different for us? 1Cor 15:51-5251Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Doesn’t the last trumpet sound in Revelation 11:15, which is well into the tribulation period?

  8. Hello Pastor Joseph.

Seems like a lot of people certainly have a lot of ideas in this one. I myself believe in Pre-Tribulation Rapture as I feel it best harmonizes all the Bible passages regarding Jesus saving his own from the wrath to come.
The five virgins who had the foresight to bring extra oil I feel represent all those who take Jesus’ admonition to “Watch,” seriously and are ready to go. For the five who weren’t, I am not as clear. Perhaps they represent “lukewarm Christians” who won’t be ready. Maybe some of them will wise up and become some of the Tribulation saints, and maybe some of them never will.
Last, to all of those arguing about celebrating Christmas on Dec. 25th, I offer Romans 14:1-6. Maybe our time would be better spent celebrating the miracle of God coming to us in the flesh rather than arguing over the exact day it happened, which, last time I checked, no one knows for certain. Let’s face it, we all have only a 1 in 365 chance of being right!! I feel that we Christians have bigger challenges facing us in these last days to get sidetracked by such minutia!

  9. Rapture Prophecy

2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste (virgin to Christ) Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a (lamp) unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Proverbs 21:20 (There is treasure to be desired) and (oil in the dwelling of the wise) but a foolish man spendeth it up.

  10. the key seems to be (they that were ready)the revelation of God is truly amazing in Song of Solomon there are passages that seem to allude to this very analogy.chapter 2 verse 8 thru 13 speaks enormous volumes of scripture. chapter 5 verse 2 thru 6 does too Jesus said in the book of Revelation behold i stand at the door and knock the sleeping virgins seem to point toward those in chapter 5 making him wait instead of being ready those in chapter 2 they are commanded to come away because they are ready Revelation 3:20 thru 22 becomes clear.are you ready? Peter says to make your calling and election sure James says the judge stands at the door Jesus says he is the door in John chapter 10 these do not have to be parables if one knows where to look.draw closer to the Lord in these last and evil days.

  11. I believe that Jesus is coming for His Bride, His Church and ready or not, here He comes! There are those who will be surprised, those who are looking for His coming. We are all going if we truly believe because it is not by works, but we want to do well. It is a free gift lest any man should boast. I think, though, that rewards will be given or lost. That is why we strive to learn and give out the Gospel, Good News, that Jesus came to Save Mankind from sin. Praise His Holy Name, I am thankful to be counted among the Saints that will go marching In. That is what that old song is about. Maranatha, Come quickly, Lord Jesus. We are ready for you to rescue us.

Thank you, Pastor for making us think!

  12. no no no….THE VIRGINS IS NOT RAPTURE READY SAINTS…FOR THE CHURCH IS A CHASTE VIRGIN. THESE
VIRGINS ARE IN REV 7 AND 14. THAT IS A WORKS SITUATION. THEY ARE IN CHAPTURE 45 OF PSALMS. THEY
FOLLOW THE BRIDE. SONG OF SOLOMON THEY ARE ATTENDEES TO THE WEDDING. THEY ARE GUESTS. THE PROBLEM
WITH ALL PENTACOSTALS THEY CAN NOT STUDY THE BIBLE. THIS LINES UP WITH HEBREWS WRITTEN IN HEBREWS
9 VS 28. TO HE APPEARS THE SECOND TIME. THIS IS AT THE SECOND ADVENT.
WITHOUT HOLLINESS NO ONE SEES THE LORD. THIS IS A WORKS SITUATIOIN. THEY MUST LOOK FOR THE LORDS
APPEARING IF NOT THEY WILL NOT BE RAPTURED AT THE WEDDING.
WELL GUESS WHAT? ALL NON BELIVERS SEE HIM AT THE GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT? WHAT ARE YOU
    GOING TO DO WITH THAT.
THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH STARTS BEFORE THE GREAT TRIBULATION
THE JEWISH TRIBULATION SAINTS APPEAR LATTER. THEY GO TO THE WEDDING AT THE MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB
STICK WITH THE BIBLE. NOT SOME CLOWN WHO TEACHES SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO THE CHURCH.
THOU FOOLS WHO HATH BE WITCHED YOU? IF YOU CAN NOT GET YOUR DOCTRINE STRAIGHT, HOW CAN ANYONE WHO
BELIEVES IN THE KJV BELIEVE YOU WERE SENT BY GOD TO PREACH?.

  13. The Unwise Virgins of Revelation

In the midst of chapters 17 and 18, which tell of the coming Beast with seven heads and ten horns, and of the city that will reign over these rulers, is a verse that seems out of context. For in 17:14 this message is dropped in amid the middle of all the prophecies regarding the Antichrist and the ten other kings and seven fallen angels. Speaking of these evil fallen angels it says:

“These shall make war with the Lamb and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called and chosen and faithful.”

  14. in the old translations is written that the virgins are waiting for the bride and the bridegroom (Sponso et Sponsae (for the lovers of Latin))(almost al the translations before 1600; I am a book and paper conservator, and the first thing I do when I get an old Bible is to look at Matt.25)).
For the moment, the bride is hidden; hidden for the world behind a veil of superficial sins; the world can not see the beauty of the bride; it is Jesus when He lifts up the veil, the day of the rapture, who can see as first the beauty of His bride.
