Rejecting The Ministry Of The Holy Ghost: Blasphemy

The world is witnessing an Apocalyptic Revelation. At the same time, there is a profound call by the Holy Ghost saying, “Get Right With God.” This warning in the Japanese disaster, as all warnings, is not without “mercy.” The God of the Bible never used His anger against sin without His offer to forgive. There is only one sin that is unforgivable and that is blasphemy against God’s Holy Spirit. WHY? That is the subject of this radio series. The Holy Ghost can be Rejected, Grieved, Quenched, and Blasphemed. As God’s Spirit begins to deal with us, we may unwittingly reject, resist, quench, or grieve Him. But, as this attitude grows, the moment comes when we cross the line and blaspheme Him. That is when it is over and there is no repentance. When does this happen? The Holy Spirit is a Divine Person and that is His decision. This is the danger and why Blasphemy is so dangerous. If it was simple and everyone knew when it would happen, multitudes would wait for the moment right before the line and then turn around.

The Holy Ghost is man’s single link with the things of God. You cannot be saved from sin without the “Conviction” of the Holy Ghost. You cannot come to God because you have decided it’s urgent. His Holy Spirit must convict you of sin and lead the way to Jesus Christ. You are “Born Again” by the deep action of the Spirit of God within your heart. Then, the Spirit seals you with His presence and guides you in your new life. He is God’s rod of shepherding and will chasten you if you get out of line with the Bible. If you lay out of Church, ignore the Bible, or get lazy in prayer; He will break your heart with repentance. If you steal your tithe dollars to spend on yourself, the Spirit will use the rod on you. The Holy Ghost and our Lord Jesus Christ are the best friends we will ever have.

NOW, we see why “Blaspheming the Holy Ghost” is the end of hope. “LOST FOREVER.”

  1. We need to look back to when the Bible was in schools, when the ten commandments were in public places and when people cared about Christians and Jews and then trace the growth of crime. the population of prisons, the insecure climate for our children (and their parents)since we no longer honored the holy scriptures or the ten commandments and instead honored gays (homosexuals who Jesus called an abomination, disallowed the preaching of the gospel by our military chaplains), and permitted sin to flourish in this once great nation.

  2. Hello Pastor Joseph.

You covered what can be a confusing concept very well. Without the Holy Spirit there is no discernment, no conscience, no ability to know (or care) when one has sinned, and therefore no repentance. The Bible to such a person becomes meaningless and incomprehensible, and as such, so does its message of salvation. And what is true for an individual is no doubt true for groups, such as those churches which deliberately reject the authority of the Bible, itself inspired by the Holy Spirit, and as a result willingly preach heresy.

It would seem that the irreversibility of the “666” mark we read of in Revelation is also in this category.

These are truly cases where things are broken beyond repair.

  3. Dear Pastor Chambers:
You said, “If you steal your tithe dollars to spend on yourself, the Spirit will use the rod on you.”

In the past you have also used Malachi 3:8 to remind Christians of their responsibility to give ten percent of their income to God. “Malachi 8:3. “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.”

I did some checking and learned that tithing is not in the New Testament under the dispensation of grace. Tithing appears to be an Old Testament obligation. The custom of paying a tithe was an ancient practice found among many nations of the ancient world including Israel. Tithing was a form of taxation and not unique to the Jew.

I get the impression you are distorting this truth and putting people under an obligation that does not apply to the church. I know of other pastors who go a step further and support Malachi with the genesis account of Abraham giving Melchizedek a tithe of all the goods he had obtained in battle.

However, what is noteworthy about Abraham’s tithe is there is no recorded demand (from Melchizedek) of Abraham for the tithe. Neither is an explanation given about why Abraham gave a tithe to Melchizedek. I also learned that Jacob, long before the law of Moses, promised that he would also give to the Lord a tenth of all he received (Gen. 28:22). In both accounts, giving was voluntary and apparently from thankful hearts. Obedience was never an issue.

Neither Abraham nor Jacob was under law when to give the tithe, which is true for Christians today. From a new covenant perspective, Abram’s tithe to Melchizedek is consistent with what Apostle Paul teaches in 2 Corinthians 9:7, “that we should make up our minds as to how much to give and then give it cheerfully.” Both Abraham and Jacob made up their minds to give the tithe. Every other mention of the tithe between Abraham and the apostle Paul is law.

The Bible appears to be setting an example of how much we should give, but never out of obedience to Old Testament law and practice, both of which have been put away according to Hebrews 9:13-15. This particular verse in Hebrews teaches “law has been replaced with grace” and one’s “giving” to the Lord should be from thankful hearts, for what He has done. Yes, we should give and in some cases more than ten percent, but always from a heart of gratitude.

From what the Bible is teaching, it would appear your position on the tithe is based on law. Are we under law or grace?

  4. Mark A. Steiner

Jesus said in John 16:9 that the world’s sin was unbelief in Him. This is akin to blasphemy against the Holy Ghost and is unforgiveable.

Fortunately Jesus did not list the Nasty Nine, Dirty Dozen or Filthy Five in the above verse, so there is still a chance as long as the sinner does not graduate in the school of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Good day Brother.

  5. Dear pastor Joseph,
with great interest I follow your E.Mail and it realy is a wake up call for the Churches
and the people.I can’t understand why I can,t print it it only give one page I would like print and file it up and show other

people as well and study it better in my folderYou are very right and thank you
    Bless you Walter

  6. I’m afraid I have to agree with Jim S your position on tithing is based on the Law & we are no longer under the Law but under Grace. You speak of Grace but have not understood it’s concept. All sins as a believer in Christ are forgiven & for the child of God all sins from the time of rebirth are fellowship sins, that is they effect our daily walk with our Lord, any unconfessed sin will mean our relationship with Him will be effected until such time that we confess & repent but will have no bearing on the state of our salvation and thus He will chastise those whom He loves to bring them back into fellowship with Him, just like an earthly father would discipline his child. I would suggest you speak to theologians like Jack Kelley & Dr Arnold Fruchtenbaum. Armenian beliefs still try to impose a degree of the Law as they have failed to understand Grace & see it as an excuse to continue in sin, but this is a total misunderstanding of Grace. Unfortunately Armenian beliefs lead to a trust in one’s works rather than a total trust in the cross & the work that Jesus completed on our behalf & in the risen Saviour. I pray that the Lord will lead you into truth.

    God bless,

    Mike

  7. Those churches who go against Holy Scriptures have in fact committed Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. In Hebrews 6:4-8 we read,”For it is impossible for those who have both tasted the Heavenly gift ……..and are fallen away: to be renewed again to penance….” Also read the Footnotes. (Douay-Rheims). Again in Luke 12:10 we have “You can speak against the Son of God and be forgiven, but whosoever speaks out against the Holy Ghost will not be forgiven”. Meaning, Christ’s Church. I’ve been told by the Fathers that the Doctors and the Theologians admit that it’s because those type of people never repent, but die in that state. (Radio Replies 1-850) (1) This is confirmed in the book of the Apoc.16:10 where it states “and they did not repent (after the great chastisement) and give him glory….18:27 and the Voice of the Bridegroom and the Bride will not be heard in thee anymore.
To wish for peace without God is an absurdity because wherever God is set aside, justice is exiled, and without justice, it is useless to nurture hopes of peace.”
