HOW GREAT WAS GOD IN CREATION!
It is impossible for our Heavenly Father to be less than Supernatural in all His Person and action. The gods of this world from Gaia to Allah are nothing less than demons and lying spirits. The only reason men worship false gods is because these gods are unholy themselves and demand nothing of holiness of their worshipers. Why would anyone dare to pay homage to such creations of human imagination? There is only one reason why the multitudes follow after such foolish gods and it is superstition. The human family that rejects the true God are bent on finding something para-normal to fill the void. Let’s read a little of Genesis Chapters One to see how great our God is in Creation. ”And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:” (Genesis 1:14) Imagine the Trinity we worship speaking the great heavenly bodies into existence out of nothing. Jupiter is 5 years away traveling at over 100,000 miles an hour and our Creator put that vast planet right where it is to make our heavens shine on us. Do not be foolish and let the world make you think that other civilizations are out there in space. All you need to read is both books of Isaiah and Peter telling us how God is going to clean up the great expanse because Satan has marred it as the “prince of the power of the air. Listen to Isaiah speaking by the Holy Ghost,” “And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.” (Isaiah 34:4) Apostle Paul magnified this, “And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.”(Hebrews 1:10-12) This God, our Heavenly Father, was so magnificent in His favour to man that He sent His only Son down to us to redeem us. Not only is He great in Creation, He is great in mercy and redemption.

Brother Ed, I believe the Bible said it all on the subject of CREATION. My theme has been since I fell in Love with the HOLY BIBLE, “Where the Bible does not speak, only fools dare to tread.” A six day creation is absolutely true and you mess up a lot of Bible when you go one step from Holy Scripture.

There are likely some 100 billion galaxies each conservatively averaging 100 billion stars each. If sentient life was merely the result of random occurances, our SETI endeavors should have been innundated with radio traffic coming in from the stars the minute their equipment was switched on. This is overpowering evidence that human beings are truly unique in this vast cosmos. And this points also to our creation being just as unique. Isn’t interesting that the Bible affirms this very thing?
Some believe everything was made in six 24-hour days and has existed 6000 years, while some, like myself, believe in a very old universe. What we should ALL agree upon is that
God’s Word created it all: time, space, matter, and energy. And when he was ready, he stepped into his Creation again and made US!!!

Yes,how old is the universe?? The Earth? I lean to the young Earth myself. The crystal clear water of some of the oceans for example. Could we have the recreation today-hence clear blue seas!! Someday we’ll know!!

6 days to the Lord is 6000 years to us , we are at the ending of the 13,000th year since creation.
The earth firmed up in under 24 hours, Polonium Halo’s in Metamorphic rock are the evidence of that fact. The metamorphic rock structures formed and froze in instant so to speak. The half life of the unstable Polonium (isotopes)atoms left Halos on the Met Rock. Our God is great!
Proverbs 8:22 The Lord possessed me before his works of old before the beginning of his ways and he will make short work of translating us to be like himself. 11/100 of a second or so.

Had no idea there were still a lot of people worshipping Gaia and Zeus.
The Wiccans and other splinter neo-pagan groups are more political than than spiritual. For them their paganism is a form of dissent.
I suggest we pray that they become enlightened since their parents failed to give their kids a proper education in their Christian heritage.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church is an excellent way to present Christian belief. It is organized and straightforward. Its language is clear. It is also fully footnoted with Scripture. Something a lot of other “sources” aren’t or are only in part.

Ok, I’m going to step way over the edge here. Please realize that my intention is *not* to be antagonistic, but simply to question where we have the “right” to make such blatant suppositions about our “origins”.
Scientists have made a comfortable living telling us that they “know” that the earth is billions of years old.
I suspect that they don’t “know” what they had for lunch last Monday, but they “know” all these things that there is absolutely NO data to support. Since everything that the “scientific” community “knows” keeps changing every time they discover something new, I feel the credibility factor is somewhere about zero. I am also not surprised that the greater balance of the scientific community seems to always deny God and try to explain away the need for God, or the evidence of God.
But I also realize that the Bible doesn’t exactly give us complete details on lots of things, so it’s human nature to fill in the blanks. But is that wise?
Shouldn’t we stick to the things that actually matter. Like Salvation. There will be that moment when we see Jesus that we will know everything instantly. No guessing, no calculations, no questions.
Convincing non-believers that we have the “scientific” proof of an old earth, etc. doesn’t save their souls. Are our egos that important?

To wit, that “in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” phrase in Genesis 1:1 plainly indicates that ALL physical entities within the ENTIRE (and indisputably gigantic!) Universe (or Cosmos) HAD a beginning [duh!] which, pathetically, is not understandable or believable by some self-aggrandizing and others-aggrandized pseudo-“experts” in astronomical occupations (be they government or civilian).
To put it another way, obviously-created and obviously-Intelligently-Designed stellar objects in space:
1. did not create themselves, and

forces(strong atomic, weak atomic, electromagnetic and gravitational forces) running our
physical universe didn’t exist before the 10 power minus43 seconds moment.
Before this moment there was nothing, not even time. And Instantly, The Universe Came
Into Being.
So we are referred again to Saint Augustine’s Concept Of Time :
Before GOD CREATED Time, There Was No One BUT GOD.

our dazzled eyes that we thought of geological activity as something extremely slow.
But we know too THAT GOD CAN CHANGE The Face of the Earth in a matter of days,
viz the 2004 Aceh earthquake and tsunami.
But concerning Man, that is our ancestor Adam, there is not a shred of doubt that
He preceded us by 6 thousands of years, and he was no evolved ape !
And the Earth Surface we know today is of the same age, FOR THE WORD OF GOD SAYS SO.
