You Are Not Your Own

That is an unrealistic statement in today’s world. It forever sets apart the kingdoms of the world from the kingdom of God. The Father is continually searching for men and women whom He can possess as His own dwelling place to reveal Himself. Jesus Christ impacted the world because He was God revealed in flesh. His church “…turned the world upside down” (Acts 17:6) because they allowed themselves to be His temple; again God revealed in flesh. In every generation sovereign revival awaits a class of people who have made the ultimate sacrifice to become wholly his vessels where He alone is visible. They were called “Christians” at Antioch because men looked at them and could only see Jesus.

The apostle to the Gentiles wrote to Corinth saying; “Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. (I Cor 6:13b). Jesus Christ came to redeem us, spirit, soul and body, so He could make the body His temple. The body of Peter possessed by the Lord walked down the street and his shadow falling on the sick and demon possessed healed them. Listen! “Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one. (Acts 5:15-16)

We will not need “made for television church” with a big-name Evangelist when the Lord is given “a clean temple” or “pure bodies” to possess. Paul said, “the Lord is for the Body” or to be simple, that’s why the Lord came and sacrificed His body so He could redeem and possess our body. He has laid claim to His saints that we might become as He was, wholly given to the Father and His Holy Spirit.

The church world is offering “strange fire” to the Lord and to his people because the cost of total surrender and Bible Holiness is rejected. The Fire of God can only flow through a vessel that has no face but Jesus. His glory will never touch exalted flesh. It is an abomination to Him. What is being called “an impartation” today is soon to be judged by the Holy Fire from the Lord. God gave us an example in the wilderness. “And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.” (Lev 10:1-2)

The glory of His anointing and joys is more than worth the death of our fleshly life. The covenant of His blood is well able to cleanse, purify and set you apart to be possessed by His Sweet Spirit. It is a possession of order and beauty not distorted emotions and spastic bodies. Jesus was a perfect example of a body completely possessed by the Divine. He was the “Only Begotten Son” that gave His body to earn the claim of possessing our bodies. “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost Â…, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. (I Cor 6: 19a-20)

His claim cannot be a choice if you want to be His “salt and light” in a fast degenerating world. This world needs to see God and His temples are His only mirrors. All that the New Covenant promised, He is able to accomplish but He only reveals Himself in His “temple.” Are you willing to give up all rights and privileges to be led by the Spirit? “ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Romans 8:14) He does not have two standards for His saints where He comes to reveal Himself.
