Worshipping The Risen Christ

We do not just worship the Son of Man or the Great Teacher. He is not just a miracle worker or a pure and godly Jewish man. He is the Risen Lord, who took death by its jaws and flung it into defeat. He descended right down where the saints of four thousand years were awaiting a death-defeater that had paid the price for sin. He entered that company of redeemed saints that were already singing and worshiping and gave them a new song. King David prophesied of His victory, but clearly stated that he was singing as he awaited the Messiah’s arrival. “Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption” (Acts 2:26-27). If they were possessed with a “glad tongue” as they awaited in faith for Christ’s arrival, then imagine what occurred when He entered their presence. Since Abraham’s bosom was only separated by a gulf, I suspect the wicked heard the shouts from this place of the redeemed. After three days and nights, He led this great throng up, up, up, and out. Now, they are in Heavenly Jerusalem awaiting the resurrection. Many of them experienced their resurrection at the same time that Jesus arose. “And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many” (St. Matthew 27:52-53). As you listen, you will want to start shouting yourself!!!!
