Jehovah Rapha: The Lord Our Physician

The majority of the church world are Calvinist when it comes to Divine Healing. They believe His healing virtues are “Limited Healing,” just like Calvinism is “Limited Atonement.” Why and how did God’s people come to this attitude toward the stripes that Jesus suffered for our divine healing? It is impossible to limit Divine Healing to just certain individuals. Our Father and His Son cannot be accused of “respect of persons.” It is for everyone or it is for no one. Look at these words given us by His Holy Spirit. “Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.” ( Isaiah 53: 4-5) Jesus fulfilled this prophecy that Isaiah had given us in his breathtaking revelations. It was said of Jesus Christ, “When the evening was come, they brought unto Him many who were possessed with devils: and He cast out the spirits with His Word, and healed all who were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Prophet Isaiah saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bear our sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:16-17) We must quit doubting or questioning the perfect truths of this Lord’s provisions for Divine Healing. The Bible is full of this great care of us by the Lord of His church.

By faith you have the privilege of claiming and receiving His miracles of promise. Please do it today. I’m praying that this Word will go forth by the mighty working of His Spirit.
Listen to this sermon and expect a miracle.

  1. Dear Brother Chambers,

Jesus took us to Calvary with Him. He was brutally and viciously beaten.
Many say He was beaten so badly that He was barely recognizable
As a human. Surely, if His death was “enough” atonement for
Our SINS, it was enough for all afflictions.
We have so many who take power away from our Lord by teaching
These heresies. Let us continue with boldness as we watch for
    Our Lord and Savior.
    God bless you.

  2. I am deaf almost completely in my right ear, An almost deaf in my left ear, I have prayed
many time, And I havent received healing in either ear.

  3. BELIEF IS A POWERFUL THING, PAUL SAID THAT FAITH WAS THE SUBSTANCE HOPED FOR THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN. SINCE IT IS A SUBSTANCE IT MEETS THE DEFINITIONS OF OCCUPYING SPACE AND HAVING MASS. WHAT A GREAT AND WONDERFUL FACT. CHRIST SAID GREATER THINGS THAN THESE SHALL YE DO. BUT WHERE IS TH FAITH TO MOVE THESE MOUNTAINS OF SUBSTANCE AND THINGS WE HOPE FOR? HOW DO WE ACQUIRE IT LEST IT BE GIVEN BY DIVINE INSPIRATION..THE CITY OF ZION IS FULL OF MEN WHOSE FAITH IS MADE PERFECT…PRAY WITHOUT CEASING, CONTINUALLY AND FAINT NOT…

  4. WHO IS IT THAT DECIDES THE WORDS OF WRITERS ON THIS SITE? DO WE HAVE A SCREENING PROCESS BEYOND OUR CONTROL, IS THE NET NOW CONTROLLED? IF THIS THEN WHY REPEAT A NAME? THE TIME OF DAY, ITS BEEN SAID BEFORE, A SCREW LOOSE SOMEWHERE IN THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I EXPECT THIS MORE AND MORE AS TIME PASSES, WHEN WHEN THEY COME FOR YOU, SURPRISE EM.

What about Trophimus, Timothy and Epaphrodite who were not healed in spite of their faith and relationship with Paul ?

  6. Hello Pastor Joseph.

Looks like we disagree about healing – in this life anyway. And comparing atonement and physical healing really are really kind of an apples and oranges argument, to my mind. Accepting Jesus’ atonement for our sins gives us a future eternal life in glorified bodies, but in no way insulates us from the sickness and physical death in this life. If this were so, Spirit-filled Timothy wouldn’t have needed Paul’s advice to help him with his stomach problems (1 Timothy 5:23).

In 2 Corinthians 4:16 Paul tells us that our “outward man perisheth, yet th einward man is renewed day by day.” This is certainly obvious as our physical bodies age, fall apart and finally die.

I would suggest that if perfect healing were available in this age, it would also cause death to cease, since, barring a dramatic accident which inflicted fatal injury, eventually some disease is “gonna get us” in the end, unless the Rapture occurs first.

That which is flesh is subject to decay, since it is part of this sin-damaged Creation, and will continue to be so until the age to come.

  7. Dear Pastor Chambers

Our Heavenly Father chastises and corrects his children, we come through life as a partakers in a coming Kingdom, if i say i have no sin then i am a liar, sin leads to death. i agree with Apostle Paul and Ed, we count the suffering and or wealth’s of this life as sheer rubbish. There is no promise in this flesh, it is corrupt! We are longing to be clothed in Righteousness, New White Robes, Washed in the Blood of the Lamb, raised incorruptible.

On the other hand the Lord Jesus demands compassion and not sacrifice, Our Father , which art in Heaven, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. i am no match for your Son as The Wonder Councilor.

    God Bless

  8. Reading the words of various people posting regarding this healing topic, some seem to be proud of following the Calvinist party line. It is all about GOD’S written word and Jesus yet some are forgetting it is not about a brand of church, like the misled Roman Catholics. There is no perfect church. Only GOD’S word is perfect. This coming week millions of misled Christians will practice a lie, the Good Friday celebration started by the church of Rome about 460 years ago. The week that Jesus died, passover was on Thursday, which some versions of the bible refer to as a special sabbath. During the times of Jesus on earth in man’s body, the day before any sabbath was PREPARATION DAY, where the food was cooked, so the sabbath could be kept holy. Read the words in the book again, Jesus was cut off in the middle of the week. That week, preparation day was Wednesday. Gee, see that, the MIDDLE of the week. Just like the bible tells us. Sundown on that preparation day that Jesus died, was the beginning of the next day, or passover. Do what the bible tells you to to do, count the 3 full days that Jesus was in the grave from sundown Wednesday until sundown on Saturday was the full three (3) days the bible REPEATS over and over. Sometime after sunset on that last day of the week, Saturday, Jesus rose from the tomb. There is no such thing as Good Friday. It is a lie from satan and any pastor, church or believer who promotes, or teaches this Roman catholic teaching is a type of Anti-Christ. Do not trust me, read about the special sabbath in the NIV. Read John chap. 12, where Jesus was anointed (6) six days before HIS death. HE was anointed on the normal preparation day of the previous week’s sabbath, on Friday. Read at John chap, 19, verse 31 in the NIV and many other bibles, where it TELLS YOU JESUS DIED ON PREPARATION DAY. Hello??? Do not rely on any pastor, rely on the word as written. While you are at it, about the Sunday sabbath never mentioned in the bible….forget it, one fight at a time. JESUS is the go to guy, so GO TO HIS WORD.

  9. Dear Bro. Chambers,

I know that this can be touchy, I also know that He can and does heal (personally I know this, He’s healed myself and witnessed others) But, it’s sometimes up to Him, when my faith has been low, He has chose to step in (awesome God) and heal, why, to show us He cares and loves. He does choose to take some Home through an illness, while others to give the grace to endure, which I believe He wills. Again, He does do miracles, He also chooses other means. I’ve known people with a lot of faith while praying for others to get healed (they do) while ‘they’ themselves suffer, either way, He does give us what it takes to endure, if just to keep us humble and help others. One day, we will not suffer, oh what eternity will be!
