Lady Gaga “Mocking” the Holy Ghost
One of Lady Gaga’s songs on YouTube has drawn 223,934,322 hits (as of Thursday, 06-10-10). That’s getting close to one hit for every American citizen. How has such a “success” occurred? Only Satan can give that widespread recognition of the world to one person. Remember, he promised it to Jesus Christ, but the Son of God said, “No!”
It occurred in this fashion, “And the devil, taking him up into a high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, all this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve” (Luke 4:5-8). Jesus did not deny that Satan had this awesome power related to this world system. It has been proven often that “he is the god of this world” (II Corinthians 4:4).
The Psalmist David spoke of this wickedness and the pains of watching them prosper in their wicked lifestyle. He said, “I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found” (Psalm 37:35-36). This man that became a “man after God’s own heart” (Acts 13:22), was wise enough to go to God’s House and learn the secrets of righteous judgment. “Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end” (Psalm 73:12, 16-17). Oh, that this generation would learn this truth.
Lady Gaga is just another lost soul that has sold herself to Satan for a short time of power and success. The name of this popular song is “Bad Romance” and it is clear that she is singing of the devil. The lyrics begin with her singing in strange ramblings. I believe the devil means the strange words as a blasphemy against the Holy Ghost and the tongue of fire we see in Acts on the Day of Pentecost. The Holy Bible says, “And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:3-4).
I believe that she is singing in the tongues of fallen angels. Some of the lyrics of this song are sung in French, other lines do not translate. If she is singing in a version of tongues, then every spirit of Satan understands her and incredible powers of evil are communicated. That is the reason for her huge success. We had better learn the truth of Satan’s powers as we approach the end. A great company of souls, especially young people, are being affected and even possessed as they submerge themselves with lyrics like this and the spirit of Satan’s anointed singers. Apostle Paul spoke of speaking in the tongue of angels, “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass or a tinkling cymbal” (I Corinthians 13:1).
It would make sense that Satan’s fallen angels have a tongue of their own that is different from the great company of God’s holy angels. According to Jude, the angels of God speak to the world of Satan’s angels and to Satan himself. Jude described this interchange between them, “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee” (Jude 1:6, 8-9).
These kinds of evil activities are occurring all over the world and will grow more intent by the day. Jesus warned us that at the end of the church age and the regathering of Israel that evil would escalate to equal Noah’s Day. “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:37-39). I do not believe it is possible to doubt that this is that day of which Jesus spoke.
Recently, a dear soul called me with a question that describes how far from God the church world has fallen. The minister of this person’s church was claiming to have had sex with the Holy Ghost. Of course, this was a demon masquerading as the Holy Spirit. This is believed by many to be exactly what happened in Noah’s Day. “There were giants (Nephilims) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Genesis 6:4-5).
I do not know how far and deep this kind of depravity will reach, but I do know that great multitudes are going in this direction. The biggest fad at this moment is vampires and black magic. Fallen angels can and do appear in human form. Apostle Paul spoke of angels and ministers being transformed as ministers of righteousness. “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works” (II Corinthians 11:13-15).
Most people are uncomfortable with this kind of information. Satan absolutely loves for you to reject knowing the truth about him and his designs of deception and imitation. Satan and his evil spirits thrive in the darkness of rejected truth. “Lady Gaga” might have used her talent for Jesus Christ if she had known the wonderful truth of the Lord. Yet, Elvis Pressley was raised in truth but still sold his soul for rock and roll. It’s a choice that every person must make. Satan will offer you his beguiling glory if you give him an open door into your head and heart. The devil will make a short work of this young lady (Lady Gaga). Let her deception be an example of Satan’s game. Make sure you are covered in the security of Christ’s shed blood.

I will be 70 this year. I as a young teen remember how parents felt and did not like the Elvis rock and roll. and it wasn’t long that we could see the tenns raising and swaying back and forth like in worship. then came the beatle and the same thing parents of Christians could see no good in it and the fact that some were communist. Some people think that apostasy just came not long ago, but it started even after the cross..now it is in full bloom, and this generation is not interested in G-d or His Word, and it is not like G-d did not warn us of how it would be like in the days of Lot and Noah and most churches have egnored the Genesis account of the fallen angels who mated with the women on earth. but , It is true and is again showing the god of this world is going to and fro all over the world to steal, kill and to destroy. I can hardly believe so many churches and pastors we have known for years is blinded..I was thinking how we were warned in church for over 40 yrs and now they are all believing in the “other Jesus” that Paul warned of. These pastors who teach the false news will get double punishment. and because we know the punishment is not in heaven, they will be here in the tribulatin to be tested. how else could they get double punishment. and Paul in Roamans says..IF I punish my Chosen , how much more those who know (church) and that the church doesn’t need signs, because we know. the signs are for the Jews and it is opening many eyes as they believe in Messiah..I can remember when we could tell the people unsaved about the cross and Jesus, and now no one wants to hear it..G-d bless you..

I have not witnessed that video of Lady GaGa, but I am sure I would not feel comfortable watching it. I grew up in a time when speaking in tongues was normal in the Church, but never out of place. There was a time for giving a message in tongues and a time for interpretation of tongues and there was a time for praying in tongues during corporate prayer, but never would the Holy Spirit interrupt the service. All was done in order and there was order in the House.
It is just another sign that points to nearness of Jesus’ return and shows the lukewarmness of this Church Age in which we live. Folks we need the Holy Spirit to give us that ‘eyesalve’ that we may see in this dark hour of the Church. It’s nothing for satan’s ministers to counterfiet the holy things of God and the people cannot say whether it be of God or no.

Keep spreading the truth Pastor Chambers. It is not all falling on deaf ears. God said in Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”. There are many false teachings out there today and sadly behind the pulpits all over our country rotten doctrine is being preached. But thank God there is a remnant who won’t fall for every sinful thing that comes along. You remind me of Noah how he preached that it was going to rain for what a hundred years? Still people closed up their ears and mocked & laughed at him and no doubt called him many horrendous names, but one day the flood waters began to fall and it was too late. Those of you reading Pastor Chambers words of wisdom and truths, heed the warning while you can before it is too late for you also! When we allow so called anointed singers to come into the church and their music is so loud and repetitious that it sounds like a rock concert instead of anointed singing, some thing is wrong. Where is the decernment in our church world today? Folks we must pray, pray, pray!!

Please read that Scripture carefully. The same Scripture tells us that Prophesies will end and knowledge will vanish, but this is certainly future when the Kingdom of Christ shall fill the earth. How anyone can use this verse to announce the ending of Holy Ghost gifts is beyond me. Every great Revival has seen the Sovereign Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Even Martin Luther was said to be endowed with all nine of the Spirit’s gifts.

While I hate what Lady GaGa espouses to the young, a lifestyle of sex and debauchery, I do not think in anyway that this is “tongues.” This is nothing more than a pop song, combined with rap style and techno dance beat added to it. Usually Dr. Chambers gets it right and I appreciate him for his strong stands on holiness. Yet, if we are going to reach those who like her material we must reach them in Truth and Love. If we were to try to talk and witness to a fan of Lady GaGa and tell them these lyrics are about a relationship to the devil and is tongues, we would be seen as insane or “out of it” and we would be cut off before we could get anywhere with them.
Is this about a “relationship”, yes, a bad one, but nonetheless it is about typical young relationships today that are about sex, feelings and everything that the world brings into it to destroy young peoples lies. We need to teach the young what worldly relationship are: destructive in nature. Also, we must give them an alternative of holiness and a good relationship with God that can then oversee human relationships that will be productive and good, which most people want.

Alright, I will agree that Lady Gaga’s music is of the world. I will even agree that it is inappropriate. However, the assumption that she is mocking the Holy Spirit or that she is speaking to devils is nothing short of ludacris and speaks to a complete ignorance of modern culture and music! She says her name several times and some french words, followed by “english”. The formating of the song is similar to many peices of music today, it is a form of modern techno in which the words are modeled after the beat rather than the beat after the words. More often than not, the singers use voice altering technology to make themselve sound more computer like, or techish. While i do not like the song, this interpretation of its meaning is ignorant. It shows just how much the focus of the modern church has changed! Instead of building up one anothers faith or showing others how the love and purity of Jesus Christ can change their lives, we analyze petty practices and try to scare people into conviction. Jesus did not resort to these tactics/practices and we as christians should follow his example! The Lord is coming soon brethren, Jesus is my saviour and king. Be encouraged, for He is with you always. God id good and His mercy endureth forever. Amen

In response to the comment that speaking in tongues died with the Apostles…this is very far from the truth. The Holy Ghost is still very prevalent today in the lives of those who earnestly seek after Him and it did not die with the Apostles. Apparently you’ve never experienced the true genuine Holy Ghost. Things should be done in decency and in order according to the word of God but the Holy Ghost is very much alive and He speaks to men and women, boys and girls all the time if they will just listen. Genuine tongues (and not learned tongues) are spoken through a clean vessel today as evidence that they have the true Holy Ghost. Because a person has never been taught about it or experienced it doesn’t make it wrong or make it dead. There is a counterfeit and the devil does use people to mock it and make light of it.
The bible says in Matt 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. It says in 2 Timothy 3:5…Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Have you truly prayed and sought after God in spirit and in truth? He’s still a powerful God and He still speaks to those who will listen and obey!

Speaking of Elvis, I remember seeing a video of one of his concerts that took place shortly before he passed, when he was fat and sweating, and it sounded like he was singing in tongues for awhile and he looked drunk. Then again, there was a type of jazz that was called “scat singing” where vocals were used for sound effects and maybe that’s what it was. I tend to think he was a good man who went astray from ignorance rather than a willful evildoer. I hope to see him in Heaven because he had such a good heart. I am not familiar with Gaga and will leave it at that.

Satan uses the human pride to make them fall…and many do, but no matter how you intepret her rantings, I sure would not like my children to chant these “words” they stick to your brain like a magnet, I don’t even want to listen to it because it’s “cathy” and this poison is not something I want to sing or hear my childen sing. We cannot plead ignorance in these cases. We must ask the Holy Spirit to guide us and show us all these things that is not pleasing in the sight of our Lord and saviour. Kim Segar says above that now, no one wants to hear the message about GOD. Kim i drove taxi at night in Toronto for many years, when all the night crawlers come out. Drug dealers, pimps, hookers and the runaways etc. were out there every single night. Before i started work each afternoon, i always prayed for myself and any other person that i met or who came near me. Many hundreds of times, the LORD directed those who needed to hear the GOOD WORD to my taxi. Both i, because i had properly prayed in advance and those the LORD was steering to me, had a conversation that centered on Jesus. The ones most open to the GOOD NEWS, were the most desperate or lost. Often i was surprised that the street hookers, were the most receptive and often asked serious questions about Jesus or GOD. I got to testify to tens of thousands over the years. Go and find them Kim. GOD gave all of us a job to do. We are all ministers who firmly believe in JESUS. You are only one face when 2 people meet. Make sure it is the face that JESUS wants you to show, a face of a winner, taking on the battle proudly and with passion. That passion comes by practice. If you want more passion, show more compassion. The LORD will give it to you. HE PROMISED.

The Battle In Religious Music: I was beginning to think that I was the only one who missed the old gospel music. I love the old church hymns, and have only been able to find two churches in this area who still sing them, and even from the hymn book. My wife and are blessed from these hymns of our youth that enrich our souls with the gospel message, and then saddened that much of our church music has changed to entertainment for the masses. It seems we’re more concerned about being entertained or entertaining others, than about worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ in song and presenting His glorius Truth in song. It is not about “we need to change with the times in our music”. It is about “does the music glorify Jesus and present His message”?

Also Mike-I have read several accounts of Christians who were once satan worshipers on the rise of stardom in the music world and left it to follow Jesus. Many satanic oaths are taken by those in the music world and many worship Satan. My own mother even claimed to be a Christian and we found out she was into voodoo and other things. Reality really hits you when you find out it is in your own family. I am also finding out the black arts are so rampant in my city -it would blow your mind.
