Miracles My Father’s Delight

Miracles and our Heavenly Father cannot be separated. It is just as natural for God to be supernatural as it is natural for you and I to be natural. You cannot separate the Father, the Son, or the Holy Ghost from supernatural activity. The Biblical Godhead cannot be natural as we are natural because their supernatural character is natural to them. If God is present in a church, He will do supernatural things. The Bible is a miraculous book. Every truth in this book is saturated with the Divine and the miraculous. Holy men of God spake and wrote as they were moved (carried along) by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 1:21) If you reject the supernatural character of the Bible, you have a book that has become a total contradiction.

If a church is not experiencing miracles, something is wrong. God cannot be present unless He is allowed to act supernaturally. The Biblical spirit of worship, where the sweet presence of God is manifest, is a supernatural occurrence. The Word of God promises that He will inhabit the praises of His people. Often miracles of healing of either the human spirit or the physical body occur because He is allowed to enter into our worship and manifest His genuine presence. Listen as Jesus promises His presence among us to exalt Himself in our lives. "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." (St. John 14:18; 21; 23)

The Bible is a book of miracles. Jesus Christ literally shook the nation of the Jews because everywhere He went He was doing miracles. The demoniac that had terrorized his community on the shore of Galilee was totally delivered and set free. The whole population found him sitting at the feet of Jesus clothed and in his right mind. They could not hold him with chains, but Jesus could tame a wild man with grace and healing. He still can save and transform the worst of sinners and He is doing so in spite of His critics. The greatest act of the supernatural is when the grace of God and the cleansing blood make a vile sinner whole again.

If we dare to believe His infallible Word, He will remove the mountains of hindrance and show His glory to us. The Bible is His only legal document in His universe. Every expression of life in heaven, on earth, or beneath the earth will be governed by this document. Even Satan has no choice but to honor the living Word of God in the person of His Son or in the pages of His Book. If you believe on the Son and in His Word, Satan cannot succeed in His evil design against you. Be it disease, evil attack by a destructive spirit, or temptations, Jesus has already won the victory for you. Jesus said, "In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

Our Savior and Deliverer is the supernatural Son of God, crucified, resurrected, ascended to the Father’s right hand and coming (soon) in glory. The things He wants to do in your life are things that manifest all He is in His Person. We should never think it strange when He reveals His supernatural power among us. We must come to believe and expect Him to keep every promise and reveal Himself in our lives. "He is the same yesterday, today and and forever." (Hebrews 13:8)
