I especially appreciate how you were led to zero in on THE TRUTH. Some of us Believers think we love the Lord Jesus while not obeying the Truth. The "feel good" gospel preaches a "Jesus" who doesn't require anything from anyone. Then again, some of us have no problem being obedient to the Truth as long as it coincides with our own plans. Oh may our Father in Heaven give us all a fervent love for the Truth, the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth. After all, He IS the Truth, John 14:6. Sadly, most modern preachers (including the conservative holiness) have dropped the ball with regards to the "Mysteries and Deep things of God and his Word". It amazes me how many pastors will not even study for their messages! I have sat under a "holiness" preacher for over 2 years who WILL NOT STUDY in order to feed his flock of 150-200 souls! The saints are malnurished and week. Many are not born again at all but have learned how to look the part and play the roll! Our people can no longer endure a sermon over 10 minutes! Yes, I am going to get out of here SOON! I have had to find food for my soul on my own via articles like this one and sermons on youtube and various websites along with personal study and prayer. It is truly refreshing to read an article that challenges us to dive into the depths of the riches of God's word! We can't just live on shouting and emotionalism! In fact, without the Word being preached, our shouting and rejoicing will soon wane without being propped up with "hype" tactics and "beat driven" rock music! Oh God, give us men who will be true "stewards of the Mysteries" of this glorious gospel! God Bless Bro. Chambers! Wonderful Article!
