He does not do crazy, spooky or weird things to get our attention. As Jesus said on the cross "It Is Finished " He did not say sometime in the 2000's He would start doing something strange. The world is filled with violence today as it was in the days of Noah before God sent the great flood. The Bible is filled with violent events, some of them ordered from Heaven. America is a violent nation. We have some of the world's most violent weather, violent crime, and violent music and entertainment. America has been fighting continual wars since her founding and has never been at peace for even a day! On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Ghost came to the Upper Room with a mighty rushing wind and cloven tongues of fire, he broke into their sweet reverie very violently with shock and awe. Those new Christians were transformed into firebrands in the streets and were presumed to be drunken with wine by the onlookers. Maybe God wants to shake things up today as He did then. (I said maybe). He might want to do things that will wake us up from lethargy and complacency and to do that today, he has to have some new mojo to get people's attention. I am not defending false ministry, but examine all things carefully and watch what is happening. I found one voice that has a very solid biblical view of the "new things" and has not yet been mentioned by PawCreek Ministries. This teacher's name is Ryan Wyatt and you can watch him on youtube and several other sites. He teaches about the church's direction and future very logically and passionately. Thank You! We are told to test the spirits, but when you try and say anything in these laughing ceremonies or barking like dog ceremonies you are accused of blaspheme or squelching the Spirit. And when Jesus touched someone, they were made whole, healed, standing and sober, not knocked out cold on the ground. I've always said the REAL Spirit is a Spirit of calm, peace and self control. Could you just imagine Jesus standing in front of His disciples and barking like a dog? And the loud rock music is another problem I have in the modern day church. A lot of older people have quit going to church all together because of it. And because of the kids taking over the service and acting more like unruly school children instead of having respect for God's House. If they acted like that in school, they would get kicked out of the class so the other kids could learn. How much more whould we have respect in God's House? If seemed to matter to Jesus how His Father's House was treated. It should matter to us also. It was the only time Jesus truly got angry, was when there was disrespect in His Father's House.
