I visited with a relative to hear a special speaker. When the band played it was so outrageously loud that my relative offered me earplugs! Her son wore them. Between a condemning pastor and the lewd music, the church folded to about 100 members or so and was forced to sell the campus and move. Although written over two hundred years ago it's worth going over again with any congregation in any denomination. In summary, they are: 1) Learn these tunes before you learn any others. 2) Sing them exactly as they are printed. 3)All persons in the congreation should sing. 4) Sing heartily and with good courage. 5) Sing modestly. Strive to unite your voice with that of others. 6) Sing in time (do not sing ahead or behind others) 7) Above all, sing spiritually. Have an eye to God in everything you sing. If a man of God speaks out against this wave of false worship and false spirits, he is castigated and criticized beyond belief. I know, I have been on the receiving end of some pretty nasty stuff from so-called "Holiness" preachers and individuals who seemingly LOVE their false spirits and false anointings! Just because a group of people have a good dress standard (which I believe in) doesn't automatically sanction any and every spirit that they promote in their worship services! This generation seems to have lost sight of what true Pentecostal worship and true holiness is all about. Thank you Bro. Chambers for speaking out on the subject once again! We need a clear voice crying in the wilderness against this age of false anointings and false spirits! If you ever experiance the real fire of the Holy Ghost, you will never settle for smoke and mirrors! Amen!
