There are many genuine pastors in non-Pentecostal denominational churches who preach the truth of the Word and rely upon the Holy Spirt to lead and inspire them in their ministries. They may not beleive that the sign gifts are for today but that doesn't mean that they are not open to the Holy Spirit's influence in limited fashion. They are certainly within the camp of true believers. If you had said Ecumenical churches instead of denominational churches, I would be inclined to agree with you. But such a sweeping statement against denominational churches is unfounded and misrepresents the truth. The matter of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an important but not an essential Christian doctrine. There are true believers who are Pentecostal as well as non-Pentecostal. Both have a love of the Lord but worship at different levels. I do appreciate your ministry. You are inspiriational and on track 99% of the time but I think you went astray in this message. I know you are an ardent proclaimer of the need to have the Holy Spirit's power in our lives to be all that God wants us to be and I commend you for that. As Andrew Murray states in his book, (The Full Blessing of Pentecost) "It is the most thing needed for Christians in the church today." If he denies the Holy Spirits calling or voice in our lives he should take the big money he makes and go into another business. The Holy Spirit called me into the prison ministry years ago, yes I heard His Voice If not why would I do such a thing? Another time the Holy spirit directed me to go to a military brig to bring God's Word which I did, If I felt for a momment that we all are not directed by The Holy spirit I would have to question the whole Bible. If some of these pulpit preachers would get off their assets and volunteer in a laymens ministry they would quickly learn what Gods Word is really about and how much the various homeless, prison ministries and others rely on the Holy spirits direction and voice to pilot the ship that God called them to be on. All I know is that I will let G_D sort out who is saved and who isn't -- if they believe Yeshua (Jesus) is the only way to be saved, and do the following -- then they are brothers/sisters in the Messiah -- whether we agree with them or not you can be a total screw up in this life, and still be saved --- that's GRACE of G_D - plain and simple. I don't. Though I hear the voice of the Holy Spirit within me all the time. And I think that has a lot to do with staying in the Word daily.
