You cannot romance the great God Jehovah or His Son, Jesus Christ. The entire idea of singing romance style music to God is voodoo religion. False, demonic spirits are masquerading all over the church world turning worship on its head. When the music of a church turns to contemporary or rock any person unsaved, worldly, even immoral, can dance in the aisles of the sanctuary without being converted to the cross of Christ. The church world is presently filled with unconverted souls that have the new romance religion that has seduced them. This must be one of Satan’s most successful schemes. Many religious leaders like Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Bill Hybels, even Billy Graham, are calling the romancing religious church and their multitudes a revival of Christianity. It is no revival; it is Biblical apostasy.

Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Church is called by Rick himself, “The flock that rocks.” Our cities are being flooded with churches established on the liberal philosophy of these apostate men. They hate fundamental Christianity that preaches the Cross that transforms men and women into Godly saints and that reject the lifestyle of the world. Ladies that live and dress like ladies are called “old fogies.” Men that are strong and masculine, who are priests in the home and elders of the church, must give way to the inclusive, non-judgmental church where every person is a “law to themselves” and the feminine Bibles are welcomed. All you have to look at to know the evil of “romance music” is the level of “Christianity” it produces, or should I say the level of “Christianity” it fails to produce.

Let’s consider the spirit of man. It is the breath of God and the great source of worship in the soul of a saint of God. We worship in the Spirit, not in the flesh. Jesus said to the woman at the Samaritan well, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (St. John 4:23-24) There is nothing more beautiful and life-changing than Spirit-filled worship. The day has come when we must understand the difference between “flesh worship” and “Spiritual worship.” Romance music, by its very nature, cannot produce “Spiritual worship.” It is of the flesh, it glories in the flesh, and its very appeal is to the flesh. It cannot produce conviction of sin because it actually glorifies sin.

The soul of man is in his Adamic nature, the fallen nature; and soulical or fleshly music appeals to the unconverted soul. Once the soul is totally converted to Christ it will immediately reject soulical music. All across America the great saints in churches are rejecting the “romance music” and are being driven out of those churches. Rick Warren promotes the church he has seduced into his scheme to ask the old timers to leave. Many churches are adapting twin services, contemporary and traditional, as a way to make the transition. The goal is to make the contemporary crowd large enough to support the new style without the traditional crowd. The traditional service will continue only until those who probably built and paid the price for that church are gone elsewhere or dead. “True Christianity” and the “New World Religion” cannot co-exist.

The music minister at the Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Florida, was heard on a video we have available saying to Pastor Kilpatrick “the music we are singing could be sung to a lover.” This revival has probably done more damage to Pentecostal churches than all the rest of Satan’s schemes over the last one hundred years. I went to this false anointing event and the head usher had to ask the crowd in the balcony to come down on the main floor if they wanted to dance when the music started. I was there and heard his words. Where is the Holy Spirit of God in that kind of music? The foolishness that follows this descent into “romance religion” is too dark to talk about without great pain.

Remember that “romancing God” is a process of reducing God to the human level. Our Father does use words in Scripture that likens the church as His Bride and speaks of a transcending love that exists. This language cannot be put on the level of sexual talk and sexual activity. In fact, that is exactly what happened in Noah’s day right before the flood that covered this earth. Demon spirits called “sons of God” by Moses the writer acted with lustful appetites and seduced the human family into activities that turned this earth into a cesspool. “That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.” (Genesis 6:2-3) “Romance religious” music is clearly on the same level as this dark event in Noah’s day. Jesus said, “But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark.” (St. Matthew 24:37-38)

The saints of God must reject, in fact they will reject, this developing deception in the church world. God is sovereign, divine, and higher than the Heavens. He will accept only worship that is pure from flesh and human schemes. We must worship Him in Spirit (the renewed converted spirit of His saints) and in truth (based on the Word of God alone) and with a total surrender and converted heart. “Romance religious music” is voodoo music and it will induce voodoo spirits to manifest their vileness wherever this music is welcomed.
