Is the Creator of
this universe concerned about political personalities? When the
Bible says that the God of this world "puts down one and sets up
another" (Psalm 75:7), does it actually mean that not one
President, King, Dictator or Prime Minister can win election,
appointment, or a mutiny, unless the Creator chooses?
Absolutely! Our Heavenly Father is the Sovereign Master of this
world. This world is on a precise course with Eternity. Prophecy
is history written in advance, and each actor on the world stage
has an unquestionable role. Six billion living souls are each
known by the true God of this Universe. That is why the idea of
many gods being all equal and somehow being the same being is
insanity.
Each nation on this
earth is known to God. "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness
thereof." (I Cor 10:26) America is not an accident nation. Some
wild-eyed religious persons have called America, Babylon by some
kind of similar proximity to the original Babylon. Such thinking
is prophetic nonsense. American citizens have many failures as
does all of the human race. Sodom and Gomorrah would have been
spared judgment if God could have found ten righteous
individuals. We are not seen by the presence of the wicked crowd
but the presence of the great number of Godly Saints. The wicked
in our nation are going to be judged with exactly the same
standard as the wicked in Russia or any other country.
As a Nation, our God has a task for us, and one of the most
important tasks is Israel and its future. We will continue to be
a sheep nation in the sense of caring for Israel and standing
beside her in preparation for the Kingdom of God on this earth.
Remember Jerusalem will be the capital of the universe during
the Millennium Reign of Jesus Christ.
Presently, we are
eliminating Israel's enemies in Iraq. This is important because
Iraq will be the center of the New World Order and Israel will
make a treaty with the false messiah. That seven-year treaty
will be broken in the middle of the seven years. Jesus said it
like this, "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of
desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy
place, (whoso readeth, let him understand)..."For then shall be
great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the
world to this time, no, nor ever shall be."(Matthew 24:15;21)
There has to be a truce between the government of Israel and the
government of Iraq for this treaty to be enacted and then
broken.
Who is the President
best fitted to defend Israel, to conquer the enemies in Iraq and
to set the stage for prophecy? President George W. Bush is the
only man. Watch his steady hand over his White House staff, his
calm response to incredible enemies, and his unfailing faith
that he is appointed for the task. A "Newsweek" article came in
the mail today entitled, "The Gospel according to George". The
article proved that even his worst enemies see something in him
they admire. Have you ever read of someone that was appointed in
the political world that was perfect? Religious people are some
of his worst critics, but that's always the case.
Compare John Kerry
to George Bush. You never see the kind of appearance in George
Bush's face that you see in John Kerry's. Remember the old
additive, "If someone says one thing with their mouth and
something different with their eyes, you always believe their
eyes." John Kerry has the eyes of a wimp. His eyes are not just
sleepy eyes, they are wimpy eyes. That's the reason he flip
flops on every issue. Remember the famous line, "I voted for the
war in Iraq before I voted against it." His earlier days of
criticism of our soldiers in Vietnam is a picture of a wimp that
could not handle the hard job of defending America. Before
November, the Democrats will regret they chose him as their
candidate.
George W. Bush has
made hard choices over and over since January 20, 2001. He does
not equivocate when the going gets rough. He does not join his
enemies in name-calling that destroys the dignity of his office
as President. The relentless attack on him for over six months
has produced nothing but confusion of face in one attacker after
another. There is a steady sense that he is indeed the kind of
President you want if the next terrorist attack occurs.
President Clinton saw almost every crisis as the work of a
conspiracy of conservatives while President Bush sees our enemy
as enemies of America.
Bible Prophecy is
unalterable truth set in the halls of heaven. It cannot vary.
Israel is going to be safe until the middle of this Great
Tribulation but will survive the relentless attack of the
Antichrist. Iraq must be in place to become the center of the
Antichrist Kingdom. Israel will have America as her defender
even when the Antichrist seeks to eliminate every Jew from the
face of the earth. The terrorists that claim Allah as their god
will help lead this campaign of Jewish eradication, but they
will fail.
Every movement in
the Middle East has great Biblical and prophetic significance.
There have been so many false date setters and so much religious
hype that the powerful prophetic signs at present are ignored by
most of the church world. If prophecy fulfillment means
anything, our world is on track for the greatest events of human
history. There is no way that the present alignment of nations
could be an accident. A Biblical prophecy almost totally unknown
by Bible teachers is that the Antichrist will be an Assyrian and
that an Assyrian nation will develop at the end of God's
judgment. This nation will be one of the three major nations in
the Middle East during the millennial reign. The movements in
Iraq have already caused the ancient Assyrians that number in
the thousands and spread over many nations to start yearning for
their own independent self-government and homeland. There has
been no self-governed nation of Assyria for over two thousand
years, yet the Creator Jehovah has preserved this ancient
culture for His End Time plan.
God's action in His
universe always uses the personalities He has chosen. The great
challenge for each of us is to be available to Him. It's
exciting to have spiritual eyes capable of watching prophecy
being fulfilled. Let His Holy Spirit make you wise in the
Scripture. We must help every Bible-believing Christian and
church to understand the nearness of His coming.
