The Judgments are
Coming
The Word of God has plainly declared that the Heavens have received Jesus
Christ until “the time of the restitution of all things.” (Acts 3:21) The ascension of the Son of God back to
the Father’s right hand was a glorious moment in the history of the church. He received from His Father after His
ascension, the gift of the Holy Ghost and then poured forth that gift into His
Body the church. In connection with
this even, it is clearly stated that after the church age the Father would send
His Son back to fulfill every prophecy that has been spoken by His
Prophets. Let’s allow Apostle Peter
to put this truth in perspective for us. “And he shall send Jesus Christ, which
before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of
restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy
prophets since the world began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet
shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him
shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every
soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the
people.” (Acts 3:20-23)
Our generation does not want to hear about judgment. It is not politically correct to tell
sinners that they will pay for their sins.
When homosexuality is called a grievous sin, we are called
homophobes. When we reject same-sex
marriages, we are looked upon as bigoted and arrogant. Of course, our message about sin must be
gentle, compassionate, and full of mercy.
But, remember, “mercy rejoiceth not against truth.” The greatest mercy in the world is to
tell people the truth. “The
way of transgressors is hard.” (Proverbs 13:15) “For they have sown the wind, and they
shall reap the whirlwind.” (Hosea 8:7)
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Sin is every act, word, or attitude that mars the image of God
in us, and it will be judged unless cleansed by the Blood of Jesus Christ. We were created in His image and
likeness. After sin marred the
human family, Jesus came to destroy “every work of the devil” and by His grace
to recreate (born-again) the image of God in us. That is what salvation is all
about. It is not fire insurance,
but transformation from the old life of sin to the new life of
righteousness. The Holy Ghost said,
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (II Corinthians 5:17) Any other message is watered
down apostasy.
Judgment is at the door. The
Saints are soon to be removed to His Ivory Palaces for the Marriage Supper. The earth will quickly disintegrate into
a wilderness and the façade around sin will vanish. Wickedness will be seen in its darkest
form and His lessons of righteousness will be clearly visible. The prophet, Isaiah, stated,
“When thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will
learn righteousness.” (Isaiah 26:9)
Isaiah further stated, “Judgment also will I lay to the
line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge
of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.” (Isaiah
28:17)
We must teach and preach to the “now” generation that the coming
judgments will be in perfect harmony with the whole of the Word of God. The First and Second Testaments are a
perfect whole. Grace and mercy does
not cover sin but cleanses sin.
There will be no acceptable excuses. “And the times of this
ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.”
(Acts 17:30) The sin
coddling preaching of the present world is woefully inadequate to prepare men
and women for what is about to transpire.
An awakening of righteousness is already in the very early stages. A remnant of good people are being stirred towards righteousness and even our Godless media has become more open to hearing our message. I was just on “Allen Handleman,” nationwide rock music talk show, for over one hour. He refused to allow anyone to speak unkind to me and let me proclaim truth unedited. It was a miracle. It was like God took the fire out of the furnace and closed the mouths of lions. Remember what Daniel promised for the end times. “And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32) That verse is being fulfilled today as we stretch to the end.
