One of the worse possible interpretations of Scripture is to call America the Prophetic Babylon of Revelation, chapter eighteen. The Bible will always interprete itself. From Genesis to Revelation the Bible is a united whole. Every truth in the first 65 books of the Bible is perfectly harmonized in the finished work of this final book. The Book of Revelation is a drama of the whole Bible. There is not one mystery in Revelation that is not interpreted in one of the previous books. If you pull some idea out of the air you will do great damage to Scripture. Mystery Babylon is the religious counterpart to literal Babylon. The adjective "mystery" modifies the word Babylon and makes it a type of that city in its literal form. So we have a religious Babylon that will be joined to the city. Revelation seventeen is religious Babylon and Revelation eighteen is literal rebuilt Babylon. You can see the religious harlot riding the One World Order in chapter seventeen. But then you see the Antichrist after he has finished with this harlot system, burn her with fire. There was a prophecy given hundreds of years ago to the Catholic Pope that the city of Rome would burn during the reign of the last Pope.
